Star Trek does not a nerd make in itself.

True nerdism is an amalgamation of wits, intellect, social dysfunction, and awkwardness.

I eliminated the awkwardness and social dysfunction.

The Classic, The Burning Crusade, Wrath of the Lich King, Cataclysm, or Mists of Pandaria? How many characters to you have? What is your current gear score? Did you get a divorce because you were playing so much (I almost got one, but decided my wife was more important so I quit)? I do know a guy whose wife came into his study stark raving naked, sat on his lap, and he told her to move she was in the way during a boss battle. She was pretty hot.

I was one of the original Beta Testers, so it was back in summer of 04 when i was a freshman in college. Ended up playing for 3 months, was one of the first level 60 chars out there.

Then being in college at the time I discovered drugs/alcohol and found out I was good looking. I quit WoW to chase tail.

Good for you to get away from that game.

My brother-in-law is divorcing my sister so he can go back to playing WoW. He is such a douche. He also wants to be a ripped 145lbs…

That sucks. I mean I was 17 when I played and couldnt understand getting made fun of by grown men because they had better ‘gear’ on a game.

One time after I quit, I was at a party and drunk with this chick. Things started to get serious and she told me she had only been with one other guy before and I called her a noob.

That is about what he looks like. He is also into TKD. I told him to put on 20 lbs of muscle and get to 165-175 lbs and he would take someones head off. Right now he just has no power. What a douche.

Am i the only one who cant get through 2 replies without having to scroll back to the video and jerk off for an hour?

Lucky for some, I have the awkwardness and social dysfunction coupled with neither wits nor intellect.

I’m like a stupider Spider-Man.

I’ve played since Classic. I now have 6 level 90’s, 3 of which are raid geared, and 4 which are top tier PvP geared. I no longer raid hardcore as I’m in Japan for business (hard to find a solid raiding guild in my current timezone). I recently got my girlfriend to her first level 90 character, after what felt like 3 years. She plays every weekend with me and some online friends, and I’ve accepted that I’ll probably be a casual player here on out.

I quoted the above, because I too have done such terrible, stupid things. Turning down the opportunity for good, quality action because I was 1) raiding, 2) in Arena, 3) in RBG’s. Looking back now it was incredibly foolish, but the main reason was that I felt bad abandoning my “team.” And yes my girlfriend is damned fine, and no, I won’t be posting pics. Needless to say, going forward I will NOT be taking a pass on said opportunities ever again. Call it maturing, waking up to reality, or learning to appreciate what you’ve got (I prefer the latter), but I don’t intend on missing out any more on what life has to offer!

She’s a trooper though. She’s tolerated it, although I’ve pissed her off a few times. She’s awesome though, even sits and watches me play Dead Space, Colonial Marines, God of War, etc. She said its like watching a movie and enjoys the storyline - I couldn’t ask for more!

Biggest as in physical stature or biggest in still a virgin, living at home with mom, and go to Comic-Con every year?[/quote]

I guess you got me there. There are some Trekkies thast are 300lbs…and those are usually the women.

I still remember when I saw Star Trek:Generations in the theater and members of the local Trek fan club had a table set up and there were also members dressed as Klingons “patrolling” the line like some sort of security and there was a female one that was about 300 and there was a guy dressed as a Klingon that was about 95lbs …with glasses on! Must’ve been a tlhIngan Hol chelwI.

nevermind your “gorgeous” girlfriend, can we see a pic of you?

I have 2 multi-season glad’s,(mage, priest) and I don’t regret any of it. Playing wow ment no drinking on weekends, no hangovers, and therefore better workouts. Living on a uni-campus where all your food is prep’d for you, also gives no excuse not to eat clean.

Big, if those are your forearms, damn! Very nice!! Please share your forearm regiment - serious. There’s another forearm… heh I mean forum… I read daily that was just covering this exact topic. As “bro” as forearm work seems, having big forearms really adds to a physique, especially when said physique is covered in clothing. Also impressed by multi-glad, even though you played a Mage :P. I’ve never done that well, and I know I’m probably at best an 1800 player, at least in Arena.

I have to second your comment also! When my girlfriend would get upset, I always would comment that its probably THE cheapest hobby one can have. Assuming you don’t count electricity (which isn’t too bad if you don’t have a huge power sink of a PC, heh) $15 a month is nothing. I didn’t drink, go to bars, party, etc. I have a nice safe, hobby, I’m home spending time, although I wasn’t directly paying attention to her 24/7, and saving money at the same time! That being said, I now have the pleasure of getting her to play as well, though being a min/max’er at heart I go crazy trying to teach someone who is quite literally the reason LFR was made. I now understand fully where folks come from, and its ok, we’re having fun and that’s what matters.

Walkway, I didn’t say she was gorgeous, I said damn fine :P. I would consider Kate Beckinsale gorgeous, an 11/10. I would put my girlfriend at an 8/10, but again, its her personality that really has me sold and makes her perfect for me :). I’m glad you don’t want a picture of her, because I don’t do that, it doesn’t frankly matter if folks believe me or not, heh.

Though, I am curious why you want a picture of me? I can assure you I’m nothing impressive, and I don’t believe I’ve put on a “guru” persona here, so if you’re looking for justification for my posts, its based entirely on my personal experience, working with Shelby (yes, I have the same coach as you :D), and what I’ve seen learning about probably my #1 hobby.

I used to get really banged up playing towards the end of my WoW days. Would smoke myself stupid on my way home then drink while I played. I was Leroy Jenkins before there was Leroy Jenkins. My ‘guild’ kicked me out after fucking up a bunch of loot runs. Good times.
