FAT QUESTION

I read the fat forum but I still have some questions. I am a college student and it would fit in with what is being served in the dining halls and with what people are eating in general if I got most of my fat intake from saturated fats. I understand that from a heart healthy point of view the unsaturated fats are better, my question is does the type of fat effect the hormonal (testosterone benefits of fat) or the staying thin (I keep hearing you have to eat fat to keep it off/burn it). Please help me out. Thanks

somebody…please?

I’m pretty sure the unsaturated fats help keep you insulin more sensitive. I think saturated fats makes your insulin less sensitive. I do believe that testosterone is produce from saturated fats through a long process. I don’t think an excessive amount of saturated fats well give you better results then maybe 10 percent of your total caloric intake. ANYBODY, PLEASE CORRECT ME IF I’M WRONG.

ok thanks stunt - I found out in one of JMB’s articles that the hormonal benefits may be better from saturated but my other question would be, do saturated fats get stored more easily as fat then unsaturated fats? you may have answered this for me with the insulin sensitivity response but i didnt fully understand so if anyone can either elaborate or answer differently let me know. Thank you!!
