Fat Loss Strategies to Keep Muscle

Hello,

I have a question. In the 70s and 80s the bodybuilders i believe would add more weight training sessions to as much as 12 sessions in one week for fat loss and muscle preservation. would this approach be ideal for natural bodybuilders to keep the muscle and not look like an emaciated distance runner or am i better off just walking more steps to get into contest condition. Thanks

Bodybuilders from the 70s and 80s were taking steroids (just like today). And as surprising as it maybe, some were eve pushing the envelope pretty hard in that regard. This allowed them to recover much much faster and handle the added workload.

A natural will end up actually losing more muscle from that than from doing cardio because it will cause an amount of muscle damage that they canā€™t repair which makes them lose muscle.

If you look emaciated when you diet down, itā€™s not because of cardio. Itā€™s because you have less muscle than you think you do. So when you lose the fat that gives the illusion of being bigger than you are you think you are losing muscleā€¦ it just reveals the true amount of muscle that you had in the first place.
