And by the way, National Bench Night is quite correct, I walked into the gym tonight and said ‘awww f#@$, its UBPN’. But one old guy in too short of shorts was just stretching off the bench (wedding tackle hanging out and all). After a complete scrub down that bench was good to go.

Actually simple question you have probably answered before. With your ‘revamping’ of Westside, with a Squat, Bench, and DL day in which you seem to combine ME and DE on each day… well what is the advantage? Focus and recovery?

i only have three days to train each week. i find that i don’t need a ton of volume to improve. i usually rotate a DE variation in every other week. if i don’t feel beat up i may do it two weeks in a row. i basically play that one by ear. recovery for me is the most important aspect of my training.
