Fat Bottom Girls

good work getting it in while on the road.

hope thanksgiving was great!

flying back home tomorrow - anxious to see my hubby and be back in my own stuff…

walked to a gym near the hotel in the hopes of hitting some deads, only to find a locked door at 6pm!!! sheesh. There was another gym that was 10 minute taxi drive away, but with the city traffic that would have turned into 20 minutes, a 20$ cab ride and a day pass at the gym. blegh.

So we hit the tiny hotel gym…

DB curls
db triceps

cable rows
db chest flies

some sort of V shoulder DB movement with knees to chest

db sumo squats

crunches on medecine ball…

not exciting but we got this all in 10-20 reps. 3-4 sets within 50 minutes. My body is not used to this and my arms are still sore. I’ll try to hit the deads tomorrow night when I’m back home.

cheers!

Joe - I’m in on the challenge, just let me make it home to a decent gym.

2Busy - thanks for stopping by, I’ll hit your log when I get back from my travels some time next week.

Df, US/ Greg/ Cal- thanks!

Lula - very quiet holidays and that suited me just fine.

keep lifting!

Weightlifting at 7am, oof! The time away will give you even more appreciation of your current workout routines. So cute that you miss your hubby.

congrats on your squat PR!!

Sounds like the hotel gym was better than most. Most I’ve been to seem to have a treadmill, maybe a rower or stairmaster and no weights. Then again, I tend to stay in things like Holiday Inns during the coaster trips I do and they are on the small side.

MT - I can do cardio in the early AM but def not heavy lifting.

Alex - thanks doll

Cal: it wasn’t a bad gym, it just didn’t have a barbell which means I couldn’t do any pre-meet training. I’ll know for next year.

ughh. Sucks about the gym closure. Sounds like you got a great workout in anyway. Happy Dling!

hotel gyms are usually the worst… glad you were able to bounce over to that other spot and still get some. thats some dedication.

Walked in the gym happy to play, but hadn’t expected the accumulated fatigue from travel to hit me that hard.
Also I made a big newbie mistake of not eating a proper snack beforehand. My last meal was lunch, what an idiot. Of course I hit a big nasty wall. It is what it is. meh.

Warm up
Deads:
135 x8
155 x5
185 x3
205 x3
225 x2
245 x2
265 x2
285 x2
305- no go
295 - no go

Tried to deal with it and ramp by 20’s. Hit a wall past 285. I suppose I wouldn’t be taking this so badly if my meet wasn’t fast approaching. I’m going to curl up and sulk now.

Aww, don’t sulk Frenchie! You said yourself you’ve got a surprising amount of accumulated fatigue and not enough foods. I reckon you’re sitting on 30 pounds of rebound badass training next time you hit the gym.

I still think those are some pretty badass deads. What are your goals for the meet?

Thanks Kristoph - trying not to be a baby.

Dani - trying to hit 315 this month to hopefully get it at the meet…

For Kev…was hoping to give you a nice Pr vid, but not tonight. This will have to do.

285lbs x2.

  1. great ass :stuck_out_tongue:

  2. I am always amazed at how you stuggle to get the first rep up but you can bring the second one up seemingly much easier.

  3. I need to work on my reps at heavier weights

I don’t know why, but I love your ponytail like that in a cap when you train.

Ah a quickie sulk never hurt anything, we all know it won’t last long with you.

And this time last year would you have been sulking at 285? hmm

I’d like to see that DL from the side next time…it looks like you are way over the bar.

To hell with sulking, you are going to have a great meet.

Sometimes you miss a lift, it happens.

MIms - a year ago exactly my max was 280. That’s why I want that 315. I’ll try and get that side view for you next time.

Also I think I’ve been keeping my feet forward too much since I watched the Dave Tate vid on sumo deads. I’ll try rotating ny feet out a tad.

I lost focus on the lifting in that deadlift video because the of pants. I’d also love to see a side view, for multiple reasons!
