I like the chesticles pose. Might have to try that myself.
And I want to say how much I enjoy your perspective on life. Recent posts you’ve made on others’ logs have motivated my statement. You tend to shy away from drama and steer clear of superficial barometers of self-worth. I think you are mentally extremely healthy and have great priorities and perspective.
I suffered from lower face acne into my thirties. My skin only really began behaving once I hit 34 or so but I still got the odd spot. I find cutting grains and sugar helps my skin a lot and it always starts looking crappy again if I start eating rubbish (eg, over Christmas with my parents when I stuffed my face with cheap chocolate two days straight).
That lat to waist curve is epic in the first pic. Love it.
Sign me up for whatever moisturizers and cleansing products you ladies are using. My skin seems to react to everything and even as I head into my late 20s my mouth/nose/chin area is a constant breakout battle. Looking into new products with some of those ingredients now.
ddot - I have my faults too, you guys just don’t get to experience them much in here
LS - I could be the cover girl for yoga shorts in the PL world. Flash that bomb baby!
DF - blushin
Joe - Hope that wasn’t too painful. lol.
Snap - do it! Sincere thank you for the heartwarming words. Like many of PW I felt at odds with what I was seeing in society. Then I stumbled in here and realized that there are a lot more people like me than I thought. There are many incredible women out there looking at the big picture and saying screw this shit; I am following my own path. And then I came across the men that adored and admired these women. The embers of strength were stoked to a full blaze. I hope to be a beacon of choice to others who prefer the hardest path. Rather than complain that the world does not fit my image I choose to be the change I want to see.
Cal - I agree eating relatively clean and drinking enough water is important. I flare up around the holidays too.
Kalle - let me know if it works for you. I’m assuming you’re having issues with breakouts on your butt right? I’ll need photo documentation
BG - Thanks girl, I get my stuff at the pharmacy, nothing very complicated. The trick is to really get in the habit of doing it morning and night.
Starting to feel accumulated aches and pains. Had trouble firing the glutes. Added extra foam rolling and stretching between the lifts to keep stuff from seizing up. I just need to focus on getting this last week done and then its major deload time.
Deadlift: based on a 315lbs max
160 1x5
190 2x5
220 2x4
240 3x4 75%
Incline Bench:
75lbs 4x6
Deficit deads: based on a 305lbs max
160 1x5
190 2x5
220 2x4
240 4x3 80% of my true sumo max.
Abs: V-Twists
16lbs ball 3x10
Dips: 5x5 - very happy to get those. I truly did not think I could. My wrists have been crackly this days so I used my wraps for the first time and I really like the extra support.
Split Squat (cleaned from floor) - the rack was in use
70lbs 5x5 - had a tough time keeping my balance at this point. I was just so tired.
3 hrs. Used pre-workout mixed with BCAA and at the 2hr mark sipped on my proteinz.
I think most of us get more aches and pains during the winter. I know I do. But you pushed through and got it done. Enjoy your deload when it comes (well, I know you will!)
Spock: I have off days that last weeks. My training is very cyclical. I milk it when its gravy but it’s the hardest thing to tear me away from the pc when I’m going through a down. I just went through a down period this christmas which means I’ve had more than plenty of rest to kill it. Also I eat and sleep like nobody’s business. Leanness is not a priority. Proof: supper was burger, sweet potatoe fries, wine and coffee baily’s with whip cream for dessert. Fatty for the win!
as for the skin - I have adult acne (result of the high T levels) I wash it twice a day with a product containing witch hazel, then a add salicylic acid to my t-zone and problem areas, finally I hydrate my face with a non clogging lotion designed for blemished skin. This I do morning and evening. Plus I know how to play with my pictures to soften skin tones and such. Not fair, I know.
I adopted my cap a couple of months ago when the distractions at my gym got to me. Basically my cap is a visor that helps me tune out shit and focus. I pull it down low over my eyes, blast some good music in my ears and I’m alone in the world facing the rack.

YEAH, I have had acne problems since I was 12. I think I am doomed to have it for the rest of my life! WTF? I thought it was supposed to be either teen acne or adult acne, NOT BOTH! I use this witch hazel toner stuff and benzol peroxide stuff. It keeps it at bay for the most part, but I have been putting acne shit on my face for 13 years and I would love to envision a day where I don’t have to worry about it anymore. I wonder if adding a hat to my workouts would give me forehead pimples, LOl.
Anyway, awesome pictures BTW! ANd lovin’ the deadlift vids. Will be watching those for motivation before next DL day, horrahh!!
I wonder when I should add my belt back into my training again. Maybe wait until I stall out??
Hallowed - nothing should be beyond WOWO’s ability
Charlie - thank you
Spock - same situation for the achne and the cap gives me no issues. It does go in the washer regularly. As for the face hygiene, I think I’m in it for many long years at this point. On the belt question: when I was ramping up 5/3/1 it looked like this.
ex: (max 180)
95
115
135 - add belt
145 - or if I felt stronger I would add it there
155
165
175
That’s 75-80%.
For Sheiko I’m doing a crap load of volume which smokes my lower back, even bench of you are arching properly. In order to make sure my back is in the game the full 2 hours I use my belt all the time during squats and deads. But this is temporary and I would not recomend this.
Mim: I shouldn’t be doing that, there is no reason to do it and potential for getting hurt. I tend do exagerate the movement when I’m focusing on driving those hips.
