Ink - at first they felt all wrong. But I have a nasty strong back, stronger than my legs so I got used to the pause rather quickly. They feel ok now.

Sunday PM: spent a solid 30 minutes stretching and making sweet love to my foam roller in the attempt to untie a couple of knots for today’s session. Mission accomplished.

You know you’re doing Sheiko when you get excited over squating only once this session… And then you notice you will be squating 80% 18 times by the time you are done. facepalm

breakfast: 1/3 cup of oats, scoop of pp with a handful of blueberries

lunch: quick bar and greens on the go

pre-gym snack: 250gr of cottage cheese, peanut butter sammich on multi grain

at the gym: scoop of pre-workout with mix of BCAA and glutamine, plenty of water

post: peanut butter sammich on multi grain bread

supper: chicken breast on aragula with feta, dried figs and a splash of balsamic and olive oil.

pre-bed snack: undetermined. edit - foods were enough. no snack needed.

total cals: 1900
total protein: 140gr

Technique aside (and they looked good to my untrained eye, but hey), those are some strong lifts, and any video featuring Frenchie ass is a win in my book.

As I was watching the deficit dead video, I was thinking “nice ass”. So, yep. Everybody loves Frenchie ass.

Using smaller plates will work better. That is what I do, but I so completely suck at deficit deads it is not even funny. Avoidance is my coping strategy.

I tried deads and my 1rm was 215(failed at 2 plates) and with the calculations for 5/3/1 I’ll almost be picking up where I left off in terms of workout amounts. So not much loss in strength. Oh and no knee pain, just tired lats and sore that part that connects the ass to the hammies(whatever it’s called). :slight_smile:

Hallowed - It depends on the days, I follow my hunger cues. That’s a low cal day. For high cal day add a proper lunch: omelet or something similar which adds another 200. A pre-bed snack (250gr of greek yogourt, 2 tbs of honey and a sprinkle of oates) add 450 and a 2am snack 200. Total on high cal days is 2750. It gives you a better idea of my range. I was fueling on 2500+ for the first 2 weeks, now I’ve grown a little more accustom to the program and my body is not requesting as much.

It’s not perfect but I admit I love totally destroying myself and then vegging out the next day, playing Skyrim with a glass of red. I take full advantage of my off days.

Week 4 Day 1. Over the nasty week 3 hump.

Squat:
115 1x5
135 1x4
160 2x3
180 5x3 (80% of my max)

Bench: added 5lbs to my max as per Ink’s suggestion since my bench has been feeling good these days.
90 1x5
115 1x5 - oups this should have been 105.
120 5x4 (75% of 160)

Alternating dumbbell front raise: added 2.5lbs per arm
12.5lbs 5x10

Dips: 5x8 - very happy with these. Hit all the presecribed reps. A couple of weeks ago I was supposed to do 5x5 and I only managed 1x5, 4x3.

Front squats: felt a little easy last time based on 155 so I calculated on a 175lbs max.

70 2x5
90 2x4
105 3x3

all done without belt.

Good mornings:
130lbs 5x5 - still feeling strong on those. Will use the big girl plates next time.
