Mine too. Reminds me of Christmas at my grandma’s, a long long long time ago. She would decorate her piano and have it all shiny. Your pictures are about the only thing putting me in an Xmas mood.

Awwwwww! Me too Frenchie. Most of the Christmas stuff I’ve endured so far has made me want to vomit.

Your pics made me kinda tingly happy christmasy.

You so good.

I was trolling your log on my phone in between stuff yesterday, but had to come back to see the pictures on my big-screen. Very nicely done. I especially love the lighting of your niece’s face in the birthday pic.

love that piano shot! and totally agree with mintech. =)

I got my Frenchie calender, omnonom.

Beautiful pics!! I love the one of your niece. Such an expressive face. Girl after my own heart.

How’s that hip flexor doing, btw?

Thanks for the thumbs up on the pics. I’m mulling over the idea of printing out the piano one and turning that into my chritsmas card this year. I’m not very crafty so I should be ok as long as I keep it simple… right?

Peaches - yeah calendar!

Masch- usually no pain but after spending the day driving in my car sometimes it feels tight and “locked up” in the evening. I have plans to meet with a massage therapist after the holidays and get her 2 cents.

Was planning to hit the gym yesterday but hubbie got home early from work (usually never happens, he’s been doing crazy hours and shifts. 60 hour weeks and more…) so we decided to turn it into an impromptu date night. We hit our fav manga store downtown and picked up some reading. We are both into Berserk and Ubel Blatt, fantasy fiction reading. We were also recommended Hotel a collection of sci-fi short stories. We followed that with steak and a pint at a place where they brew their own beer. The Amber is delicious!

Finally ended our downtown time with a hot chocolate (shared) at Juliette et Chocolat. Anyone reading this log and hitting Montreal once in a while you have got to try this place. Their hot chocolates are amazing. Do it and thank me.

anywho all this food should fuel me up nice for tonight. I’ll keep you posted on the carnage.

I say ‘Do It’!

You’re one talented lady!

ohhhhhh you are a manga girl! Ghost in the shell…that’s about my limited scope on japanime/manga.

but the sci fi/fantasy reading is more my speed!! word! are you into steampunk at all?? I highly recommend Cherie Priest’s clockwork century books!! fabulous!! ohhh i love talking bookies!! thanks for the recommendations!!!

ddot - thanks  planning to get all crafty this week. If you don’t hear back from me I’m probably in the emergency with both hands glued to my ass. lol

Brute - love Ghost in the shell. Bought the full anime series. We still watch it once in a while. Also a big fan of all things sci-fi, I’ll be ordering Cherie on my next amazon bulk purchase!

Tonight felt pretty rockstar…
Proper warm up including retard frogs, calves and hammies stretch. Hip stretch: prayer squat, Squat to stand stretch…Bodyweight squats and more…

Squats:
barx5
95x5
115x5
135x3
155x3 - this is the most I’ve squated since my strain 2 months ago.
175x2 nice.
185x1 - felt easy. could have done more but decided to stop here. Game plan is to gradually add the weight back on.

Front Squats - olympic grip style (I usually do cross arms)
95lbs 2x3 - felt these in my weak abs.
65x8 - felt the strain on my right hip flexor and quad so left it at that.

Millies
65x5
75x5
85x3

PushPress
95x3 felt strong like bull so decided to push a little
105x2 noice! haven’t been above 95lbs in a while
115 - no go. twice
100x3 - very happy.

Alternating dumbbell curls
25lbs 3x8
superset with
skullcrushers 25lbs 3x8

Abs:
Russian v-twist 8lbs medicine ball 4sets of 25reps

Lying leg raise 2kg medicine between the ankles 4sets of 8 reps.

I’ll go empty my fridge now.

Frenchie: Yes! Great training. So glad you had a good squat session. I got my calendars too! YOur pictures are incredibly professional.

awsome!!!

Glad to hear the squats were pain free for the most part!

Training looked great.

I am a big fan of fantasy and some sci-fi, mostly cyberpunk. Ginson, Sterline etc.

And because I am behind on everything got any of those calendars for guys left?

Nadia - thank you! very nice of you to say so. I see the 100 things I could do better next time. I suppose that’s how one gets better.

nyiron - glad you like it

Dani - good news is no pain this morning. I’m on my way back to 4 plates baby!

Joe - you are in luck my good pirate, I have 1 lady calendar left. PM me your address and I’ll send it along. I’ll reply with payment details.

What prompted the grip switch for FS?

Excellent training there, Frenchie! Makes me very happy that the squats are on their way back and you’re handling it very wisely.

Date night with your husband sounds lovely

Great training, Frenchie! Nice to see you getting back into the swing of things!

That 105 push press is ridic! I’d kill for that. Lovely work, mama.
