Fat Bottom Girls

Peaches - cause all the cool kids were doing it? seriously I couldn’t do it in the past cause it hurt my wrist and someone suggested I only keep 3 fingers beneath the bar and hold my elbows up high for bar stability. Since it was something I couldn’t do before, well I had to try it

lula- lovely it was, and it has added a much needed “spring” to our step before the holiday madness.

Masch - aw shucks. I love it when I can impress a Maschy.

I feel myself getting back into my groove. Something about the circular nature of training, getting used to the hormones and doubling my D dosage has gave me a happeh.

15mins of stretching
foam rolling
hams, calves, hips and groin
prayer squat
retard frog
bodyweight squat

Then Deadlifts
135x8
155x5
185x5
205x5
225x5
245x3 felt nice and solid
265x3 groaned out loud like a mofo
275x2 lock it! very happy. equalled former PR.
185x12

Facepulls:
45x12
65x12
75x12

Kneeling cable crunches
95x12
115x12
125x10
135x5 crap form ran out of gas.

Finally felt the warm breath of Dragon Lady on my neck this evening. I was fucking the bar and gunting and talking loud to myself and dropping the bar and behaving like a wonderful scouling meathead.

One of the reasons is that I was overthinking things with the dealift, watching vids and trying to perfect something that works for me. I was focusing on keeping my feet straight and dropping very straight on the bar, but that way I have no flexibility and I end up pulling all back. With my feet rotated outwards I can drop my hips lower and really get some leg and glute activation going.

I’m really happy with tonights lifting considering I was still domsy from yesterday’s squats. I expect awesome lifting after a few days rest.

As far as my hip flexor goes, it’s a little whiney but not too bad. Currently self-medicating with a little Grand Marnier on the rocks.

remember that the wheel turns for all, and with a little patience we end up back at the top.
cheers

This entire post reeks of awesomeness!

PS: Glad you haven’t glued your hands to your ass. Although it would make a great story.

best thing about falling in a hole is how stunning the view from flat land looks when we finally claw our way out.

Love hearing that the sleeping dragon has awoken! You killed those DLs, Frenchie. Awesome job!!

Sometimes we overthink to our detriment. Grip and rip, my beautiful meathead!

The rest has done you well. And you’ve retained your strength no doubt. 2012 is going to be good on ya, I can feel it!

Damn fine lifting Frenchie. Glad to see you back in the groove.

Nice job Frenchie. Sounds like your back!

Ddot - I have my moments

Deja - damn nice to have you around woman!

Mashy - grip and rip, yes Mam!

Mims - I hope 2012 btings you clarity to deal with your health issues.

Joe- we all have our ups and downs. Although you have been riding the PR train for quite some time now.

G! Wanted to say NOM on your winter fluff pic but your log is locked :frowning: tried giving you a thumbs up in Ups log but her log is locked too.

Hallowed- the perk of these logs is that we feed off eachother

This is all so true, and so eloquently put, both of you. Thank you for that!

Frenchie-so good to see that spark back to full force. The tone of your logs never fails to inspire me.

Brute - Fantastic!!! Sometimes the tweaks get us out of a rut and sometimes we just get anal over details, but always worth a try.

Edgy - Hi viking man!

Dasher - we all have ups and downs - saw in your log that your on the rise yourself

Greg - wedding pic avi!!! I have to stalk your log like right this moment and there better be details.

Pixie - it was a little sore for a while but already much better, for now it tires really quick and gets domsier than the rest of me. I can push but not too hard yet.

Kev - I need to do those front squats and hit the abs more often. a strong base is a strong lifter.

Lula- thans doll
