Fat Bottom Girls

Love the moss against the white backdrop, the pictures look so serene.

This is gorgeous, and haunting. I’ve always been attracted to the eerie and foreboding…Very nice, Frenchie.

And nice little complex you did up there. Wheezing is good! Lungs and heart were pumping I’m sure. Nice work, love!

Love the fics Frenchie, glad you had such a great time.

I’m really sorry to read the hip flexor continues to dog you. It’s hard to manage something like that, but I know you’ll find a way to maximize your training while still healing. It’s an unfortunate part of the game I guess.

yeah, sorry to hear your hip flexor is still bothering you. damn pesky things :frowning:

Hey there. Regarding your comment on my log about foot position pulling sumo: I find that the more my toes point forward, the more I pull with my back rather than my hips. The down side of toes rotated out is that the further out you rotate your toes, the less of a stable base you have. That’s why you see sumo pullers falling over backwards from time to time. I’m still working of a sweet spot of stable base and staying upright.

Feet straight forward though, I wouldn’t call sumo. I’d call it a wide stance conventional. I equate sumo with hips and glutes and conventional with back.

Hang in there!

Maybe it’s time to see someone about it??

Guess what came in the mail today!?

hubba hubaa

Thanks Frenchie, you’re the best.

I hope the hip flexor is just a twinge and heals itself with some good rest (and ice, ice, baby).

I got your calendar today. I love it!! Thank you so much. And my pup also loves the cardboard cylinder it came in haha

I got mine toooo!

May is my favorite month

Ouro - thanks for the info. I had fun going back to my more open foot stance in sumo this evening.

Mims - I agree. I’m just procrastinating from fear of the verdict.

lula - yeah calendar!

Dani- yeah cardboard tube!

Masch - you flattering child

On to business…

Deadlift festival
Sumo
135 x8
155 x5
185 x3
205 x3
225 x3
245 x2 - tried for 3 but no go.
265 x1 - disapointed by how heavy these feel. this was a total grinder.

Conventional: Haven’t done these in a year. Quite happy with the results.
135 x12
185 x6
205 x6
225 x3
245 x1
265 - no go.
225 x1 - my grip was totally failing at this point.

Clean Press
95lbs 3 sets of 2 reps. tried for a fourth set but hit a wall. Decided to call it a day.

My cleans look awkward as hell.

My back should be nice and toasty tomorrow.

I know nothing LOL… but this is how I feel about it too. I seem most stable a little past fifth position angle. Anyone remember ballet class?

Frenchie i love how you warm up through reps of my goal pull while injured and coming off a layoff LOL.

Awww! I want to look at the sexy calendar too! Mine hasn’t shown up yet :frowning:

Super lifting, nl! Cleans always feel awkward when you haven’t done them in a while. Woo back work!

Not trying to show myself off in NL’s log but this is a hazard of sumo pulling with toes pointed out. I’m not sure if it was fifth position or not

wow! That was great in awesomely scary way!!
Glad you were able to get up and walk away…sheesh!

Hallowed - I know I must keep the injury in mind but damn it, I haven’t pulled near 300lbs in way too long.

Dani - I’m 160lbs. I’ve got a few pounds on you.

Ouro - you can toot your own horn in my log any time woman. You are amongst those that inspire me to lift heavier everytime.

Pixie - I wasn’t able to send it at the same time I did the others cause I needed to verify your funky address. I’ll get it done this weekend. Sorry for the delay.

It’s actually hard to get up in a deadlift suit. That was just my cautionary tale to NL about pulling sumo. I’ve seen it happen a number of times to different people. I just happen to have the video of myself.
