I’m just going to second all the sentiments. Breakfast and pretty pictures? Omnomnom
Your negligee looks so sl-sl-sl-sl-slippery!
mmmmmmmmmmm
Long day including a 300km drive. Trying out a new hotel while on a business trip. So far so good. There’s no gym attached but I remembered from previous business dealings that there was a massive gym walking distance from here.
I forgot my Mp3 player and wrist wraps but I figured wth, I’ll go check it out. Turned out to be a good idea.
They charged me 13$ for 90 minutes. I figured at that price I was going to be THAT jerk that spends an hour in the squat rack.
Warmup then Squats:
Bar x8
95 x5
115 x5
135 x5
155 2x3
135 x5
Happy with this considering I haven’t squated since I got hurt. There was no pain, full ROM. Very happy. To be honest the only issue were my wrists since I low-bar my squat. Without the wraps it puts a lot of pressure. Deal With It right?
Millies
bar x8
65 x5
75 x5
85 x3
Pushpress: 95 x1
Good Mornings
95 x8
115 x8
135 x5 felt nice and strong
Dumb bell benchpress
35lbs 5x5
overall happy with this place and would def lift here again. Especially considering it is walking distance from the hotel.
Now to hunt for supper…
so I’m catching up on the logs after ordering room service (salmon tartar…yum!)
This cute young guy brings my tray in and places on the desk next to my laptop where a full blown half naked Hallowed avi greets him. Hello! I blush and close the laptop. At lost for words, I sign the tab.
geek fail. lolz.

Ahahaha! I lufffffff eeeeeet!
Takin the risque international! Tell me mah little Frenchie blushed? muah
Very happy to hear about the non-existence of hip pain during the squats!
And ha!! Your room service story cracks me up–I always wonder about that when i’m on this site in public.
salmon tartar. nommm
Lifting session sounds great. See, just a matter of time until you got your groove back.

What a nice compliment!
Love the pic of you in the kitchen.
Looking forward to following your next training cycle. You are such an inspiration.
Squats followed by room service, you’re living the good life Frenchie.
Glad your back at the squats!! YEI!!
lula - my passtime: hot people, deal with it. lolz
Peaches - thanks for the faith ![]()
Snap - yes it is a great compliment except I’m a little weirded out because this is the internetz. Perhaps I’m a crazy bitch in real life. Maybe I eat puppy soup for dinner. And I’ll take it a step further and say many men have strong women in their lives and yet do not cherish them. Face to face I’m def not a sexy siren. I’ve been called dike more than once. I don’t have an issue with it, only it seems funny that here on TN there is a following, but strangley in the real world I still see the cult of the weak female on the pedestal. It boggles my mind. OK. End Rant.
planning to hit the 5/3/1 after the holidays. Now until Jan is simple playtime. My brain needs it, especially since I have always trained without a program and this year was my first time following one. I love the results, but the structure does take away some of the fun.
PhatPhit - in all honesty, I hope you find what you seek. Better yet, I hope you have eyes to see the beauty of such a person if they ever cross your path.
Joe - company only pays for part of it, but considering I’m far from home, the extra couple of dollars spent on my part to make this “enjoyable” is always well worth it.
Brute - thanks !
you are one strong chick in more ways than just physical strength, and glad the hip is feeling better. I really enjoy your log and the pictures, just that I’m not one to comment on them.
Yay for squats!! Nice work, Frenchie. And that GM is no joke. That’s a lot of weight on the bar! Same with Push Press. Yeesh! You take time off and come back stronger than ever! Awesome!
Also envious on how you can just train without a plan. That’s so nice!! I really wish I could to that. And I can’t wait to see what you come up with from here to January! I love surprises!
Hilarious on the room service guy. I totally understand what you’re saying since I feel like I perpetually scare off men with my training and its results. But for all we know these men could be licking their chops when they see a strong woman! We can’t get in their heads. Room service guy could’ve gone home and fap fap fap fapped to pics of strong women thanks to you! Anyways, its like I said before, men don’t know if they want to fight me, fuck me or run. And that amuses me. ![]()
And I just have to say, I’m definitely NOT a sexy siren in real life, AT ALL! HAHA! I’m just a big socially, awkward nerd. And what’s worse, my siren song sounds like Fran Drescher from the Nanny. “Oh, Mista Sheffield!”
And mm…I like all tartars of all kinds! Raw meat, its so primal and so deeeelicious!
yay, playtime ![]()
I guess that’s what I’ll call my training too…or maybe just nap time, haha.
I just reread my rant and it seems over the top. lol. Blame the insomnia I’ve been dealing with for the past weeks. What I was trying to say is that obviously I “filter” everything that I say. Hence this perfect little bubbly Frenchie is a part of me but def not the complete picture. I have my faults and my bad days, those just don’t come accross as often. One must not compare “real people” to this log.
As I mentionned I’ve been dealing with insomnia, traveling for work and a busier work schedual which has been turning me into a total zombie by 6pm, but unable to sleep. I finally slept 10pm to 9am yesterday and woke up refreshed and ready to rock. Yes!! finally. Decided to use this extra energy to hit the gym.
Plenty of warming up then…
Deadlifts:
135x8
155x5
185x5
205x3 - it was so wobbly and uneven I checked my bar to see if I had misloaded. Negative. Basically I am pain-free but having a hard time activating my right quad, hip and ass.
225x3 felt heavy
245 x1 - a grinder and slow coming up. I need to refocus on glute activation and the likes.
225x3
160x20 - Bodyweight. Felt nice and light. Focused on form and activation. ran out of breath before I ran out of strength.
After this little exhibition I realized I was not going to be able to jump back right it where I left off so rather than play stupid and stay with heavy weights I decided to work on rehab type of movements.
Barbell hip thrusts 135 3x12 - this isn’t very heavy for me but the point was to “stay in tension” the whole time rather than let myself have a quick rest between reps. This was to work on keeping my glutes and hips fired.
Barbell rows 50lbs 3x12 - lower body needed a break.
Steps up to bench:
50lbs barbell 3x8 for each leg - I hate those therefor I know they are good for me.
On a personal level I will try taking my hormones in the evening before bed with the hopes that I will sleep through the majority of the symptoms. I’ve been taking them in the morning and basically turning into a wet noodle…
oh man N…I forgot you have to go back on your hormones. That must be pretty tricky to figure out where to put your optimal lifting at:{
Good idea about the slow progression back with everything you are dealing with --insomnia is a FUCKER–you body is no doubt confused and recovery is going to be slower.
However–nothing to be ashamed about in that workout!1 :)!
No shame in that workout is right! Damn.
I’m lucky to do stepups with the ffifteens. LOL.
You gonna be my go to butt girl.
and I mean that just as pervy as it sounded ![]()
Deadlifts looked good. It might take a few weeks to get back to where you were at but you’ll get there soon enough. Better to be smart than be injured.
