Fat Bastard

Sorry Wilson but I pulled like a big vag. Last night’s workout not even worth writting(225 felt heavy). I need to get my head on right and start hitting it hard, heavy and going to bed before midnight. I hope to have something worthwhile to post tomorrow.

Big Vag or not, I believe even, or especially, the bad workouts should be recorded.

OK Pete. Here’s the humilating details:

jump squats 10 for a couple sets
deads 135x5,225x5,315x5,405x1

Stopped because I felt weak as shit and low back was killing me.

Pete is right ‘bad’ training is just as good a bench mark as a great session…

nice work none the less

As I have said before, some days the gym wins and some days you win. Get your ass back in there, that’s what we do. A great weekend to ya.

And a bad day at the gym is better than a good day at work!

Steve please listen. Some guys can do jumps before heavy lifting some can’t. Me I do mine on an off day and keep my “clusters” thats reps for bodyweight plyometric reps @ 3 or less. Then rest a couple of minutes and repeat. If you have never jumped for sets/time/distance or whatever and are not conditioned for it you are fubared for a strength type movement following the jumps.

Start off in a 3x3 cluster and work from there if you like the jumps. If I incorpate “jumps” into a lifting session mine are done after the sqauts or deads not before. I would rather run stairs or sprint after sqauting or pulling from the floor. That is immediately afterwards like on the tail end of the set.

Hope this helps.

Thanks for the sympathy and good advice. After I dried my tears I hit the basement gym this weekend. The shoulder ached a bit but was tolerable.

Lifted hard and ate well this weekend. Feel like I’m 18 years old today. Except for my bald head, big gut and right knee aches. I hope everyone had a great weekend.

Nice work. Next time you cry on my shoulder please don’t sneak your hand around and try to cop a feel though.

Meat, I meant everything I said.

What a Soap opera you big guys have going.

Good looking workouts here Eco.

Rick

Nice work eco…

looks like you boys all had your hands full.

Think I’ve found a full powerlifting meet to train for. July 17 in Freeport, Maine. Gives me 6 monthes to get myself in shape.

There we go. Nice to have a target. Aim to break the 600 barrier on the pull. What fed? I think you should gearwhore it personally. But that is just me. There is so much raw stuff going on here I feel lonely.

Pete, its the apa-wpa federation. Its so much easier training raw when you train alone. And my workouts have to be less then 45 minutes usually. The kids have so much shit going on.

1/19
1a. 3 board close grip press 135x15,225x10,275x6,315x2,2,2
shirt 2 ply: carx3, semi-truckx2, my housex1 (just wanted to be like Pete)
1b. bb row 135x10, 225x10x5sets

I did this at 9 last night. Just wanted to get some of the rust off. I haven’t pressed anything over 300 for awhile now. Full range of motion still makes the shoulder ache but the board press felt great.

You are a funny man, Vanessa.

So when doing board work alone, how do you hold the boards in place?

Not sure about Eco but duct tape, chewing gum and barb wire works great for me.
