Fat Bastard

Eco - Sometimes a reality check is the best motivator. With your discipline you shouldn’t have any trouble with a weight loss goal. Tis the season to start thinking about ending a bulk anyway so you’ll look good in that summer bikini. Thats my plan anyway.

If only you knew my usual lack of discipline. I’ll have to get a bikini wax.

Go for it on the diet. Got to have the health before anything else. However, when you do get all svelt there are still some rules of the road here.

Don’t worry I won’t wear a speedo. It would scare small children. But may attract female bears.

2/15
1.cleans 135x5,185x3,205x2,225x2,245x0,0
2a.front squat 135x5,225x5,315x3,365x1,225x5
2b.cgb fat bar 109x15,159x10,209x10,246x6,299x2
2c.chip up BWx7,6,5,4,6
3.hang cleans 155x3,3,3

I my suck at cleans but boy they’re a fun exercise. Just trying to keep my strength up while I drop the fat.

Nice, especially that front squat!

When you do cleans, do you go right to shoulder, or do you get under it, catch it, and front squat it?

Those are some great front squats. I really have to pick my shit up.

SD, I go right to the shoulders. Really just under my chin. My wrists and tris won’t stretch far enough to rack the weight across my shoulders.

UN42, I still struggle with front squats. I lost control with my first set of 315 and ended up in a half zercher position lowering the weight to the safety pins. With 275 and under I’m strong enough to bounce the weight back into place but not 315.

Great work Steve! I am going to check to Alwyn’s article and see what’s up with that. doing atkins/paleo got my blood numbers in order, i’m just tired of being a fat guy.

Thanks MJ. I can’t wait to check my numbers again in a month or so. I’m sick of being a fat guy as well. I want to look good this summer.

I hate it when you big dudes diet down. All the sudden you are in striking distance of my weight class and I start feel’in all puny and weak again. Give us light-weights a break would ya?
Wouldn’t a nice Hagen Daz taste good about now?

256 this morning. I would love some Hagen Daz right now. Believe me if I could stay healthy I’d love to be a 300 lb monster powerlifter. But not in this life.

Step by Step, moving in the right direction, ECO. Nice work, as painful as it may be!

256!! I gotta bet back hopin… soon you will be down in my country!

pics or it didn’t happen.

Actually OG on a low carb diet if you can make it 5 days or so its not so bad. You don’t feel that hungry. But the first couple days really blow. I felt dizzy and wanted to eat everything.

You don’t have to worry Wilson I plan on stopping around 235-240. You’re well below that now aren’t you?

Steve, we need to all stick together and not bow to industry pressure to become so waif-like:

Looking stong and trim, Eco. I’m starting to feel a bit better on the AD and I think I’m going to try to put on weight with it.

Scott, you’ll just have to take my word that I haven’t been eating ice cream every night and ballooned up over 300 lbs. I’m amazed how you’re able to keep getting stronger and lean at the same time. I can’t do both together.

Jack, I don’t think you have to worry about me becoming waif-like. That size 4 model still looks skinny to me.

Joe, well I’ll go with looking ‘trimmer’. We’ll see about the strong part after another week or two of this diet.

I’m about 240 now. I’m getting back on a clean diet. Plus back into the cardio too.
