Fat, Bald, and D@%n Near 50

Sunday morning workout

Bench with 1 band: 135x10, 185x5, 225x5
Bench with 2 bands: 225x3, 2x205x5
Decline dumbbell press: 4x70x6
Incline speed press: 3x135x6
CGP in the Smith: 3x185x6 185x3
Treadmill walk: 30 minutes

Had a long night with a sick youngun. We have the Stomach flu roaming the world in eastern NC. A couple of the private schools were closed this week because of the outbreak.

One band benches seemed to easy. I had the bright idea to use 2 bands. That kicked my ass! Dropped the weight back and gutted it out. The rest of the workout was a hard go. By the end of the weight work I was used up completely. I’m sure the sleep interruptions weighed heavy on me as well.

The weather guys are calling for snow here in eastern NC. I’ll say it again, global warming my ass!! I don’t know when it has snowed here in March! I’m not excited about the prospects of continued winter weather. But there is hope. The cormorants and pelicans are in the river and I declare I saw an osprey in the cypress trees in the river bank.

Eco, this is only my second workout with the bands, but I like it so far.

The damn snow hit down here early this morning, JW. Got about 2" so far. Every Bubba with a pick up truck takes it as a challenge to show he can drive the same speed as normal in it. Caught a couple of big Heron from the river who’ve decided my meditation pool is an all you can eat buffet.

Monday morning workout.

Barbell complex: 95x8, 4x105x6
Treadmill walk: 20 mins.

WOW. The complexes were hard this morning. I’m breaking up my cardio aspect a little bit. I’m going back to a brisk walk with varying inclines. Some how my foot feels like it has a stone bruise and the running hurts a little. Plus, intervals were getting a little old to me.

We are experiencing the gamut of weather here in the swamps of NC. After a Sunday of COLD rain and wind out of the northeast I have seen rain, snow, sunshine, cloudiness, snow and now wind all in a matter of 3 hours. And imagine that, the state is only delayed for 2 hours here!

Tuesday morning workout

Squats in the smith: 135x10, 205x5, 225x5, 245x5, 2x265x3
Dumbbell abs thingy: 3x20x30
Incline leg raises: sets of 20, 17, and 15

Bumped the weight up in the smith. All went well. Worked the hell out of my abs.

I’ll be sore tonight. Quick post today. I came to work to make sure all is well in this sun freezing day in eastern NC. I have to go back home to play Nurse Dad for the young’un while her mom goes to a Doc appointment.

Hope y’all have a nice WARM day

Spring will eventually come…won’t it? Hope your daughter gets well soon and doesn’t pass the bug aroung the house.

Hope your daughter feels better. You are making good gains with your training.Stay warm!

Squats are getting bigger jdub.

Hope your daughter gets to felling better.

Thanks Skid, hel, Eco,Jimmy T and all. I just wanna be like you guys!!

Wed morning workout

Barbell complexes: 95x7, 4x95x8
Treadmill walk: 20 minutes.

Typical cardio day. not much to report. It’s cold as hell here. When the sun came up the river was about 2/3 iced over. Thankfully it will be close to 70 by the weekend. The daughter is doing well. She turned 11 today. I can’t think of a shittier way to have a birthday, getting over a stomach flu and it being cold as hell!

I have some customers visiting today. I think they are coming to try and ‘steal’ some lumber. Sadly in this economic environment I am an ‘order whore’ if they make an offer we will take it!

Well, you’re 2/3 of the way to being like me:fat and bald. I’m almost 40 though.

Nice work with the bands. Always feels good to struggle a little now and again. Keep up the awesome work.

Happy B’day to your daughter. Hope she has the best day she can.

Global warming my ass.

That’s why they call it ‘climate change’ now instead. More applicable to either manufactured ‘crisis:’ Global cooling OR global warming. If it’s a crisis, you can be taxed for it somehow to help ‘stop’ it.

I’d be interested in what the Farmers Almanac is saying.

Happy birthday to your kid…

your business isnt the only one in the crapper. I am ready to become a personal trainer- not really.

still looking good nice work.

I think this quote is applicable…“If Thomas Jefferson thought taxation without representation was bad, he should see how it is with representation.”

Thanks for the birthday wishes for my young’un. Being sick on your birthday sucks, but I think we were able to make it wind up good for her.

Thursday morning workout

Squats in the Smith: 135x10, 205x5, 225x5, 3x245x5
Push up dumbbell abs doo-hickies: 3x35x18
Leg raises in the sit up bench: sets of 20, 17, 12

The weights felt heavy today. I spent a lot of yesterday in the cold. Maybe that was the deal. So I decided to top out at 245 and do 3 sets. The ab work was trying at best. I had a 35 minute workout and was used up when I left the gym.

It’s kind of interesting watching all this stuff going on in Washington with the government. I’m not the brightest guy in the world. I’m not the sharpest tool in the shed, by any means. But It seems all the legislators want to do is form a bucket brigade and dip 5 gallons of water from the deep end of the pool and pour it in the shallow end…

I need to convert my sawmill to a bank and get some TARP money. Then I could get a raise and still have my annual salary well under the limit… Oh well… What interesting times we live in!

Unfortunately it’s only the beginning…

Can I be Chairman (politically incorrect), oh shit I’m from Canada. We don’t have coalitions here, we have a political party system, ugh! We have lots of water however, should the pool you’re drowning in need anymore. After all the NAFTA agreement says we have to supply you with what you need before we can sell to others!

I think we better build a boat, and quickly! Arc anyone!
