This study is poor for the following reasons:
1)Too few control variables studied.
a)diet and supplementation
b)workout routines
c)muscle groups tested
2)Data acquisition system not verified.
3)Data variation tools used not described
4)Possible evidence of only loss of muscle fiber Type I more quickly than Type IIs, during de-training phase
This all could be expanded on more in depth in the report from these doctors, but I highly doubt it. Even if a more in depth argument is made for their findings, I think everyone should go get some Type II fiber by ATG squating.
