Fast Fat Loss

Hey guys. I want to know what you all think is the fastest way to egt shredded and lose body fat whilst keeping as much body fat as possible. Im confused about it because there are so many articles about Steady State Cardio, also I know that pro bodybuilders use that method to lose fat. But there is also alot of articles to back up Interval Cardio. I want to know what people HAVE TRIED and what their results have been. By the way im sorry if there is another post that has been made like this.

Sprint 3x a week.

Steady state works the best IMO. But steady state for fat loss and keeping muscle is not 20 minutes, try an hour for starters. Sprinting which is a little easier can help drop weight but you won’t have the same type of muscle as bodybuilders. You’ll get a more athletic looking build.

I personally got very good results from the german body-comp for athletes program by charles poliquin.

dropped 4lbs of fat and gained 6lbs of lean mass in only 6 weeks. and have kept 100% of the gain since then.

You can actually do both, HIIT and steady state, for fat loss (eg, two HIIT sessions per week, and the rest steady state).

Oh, by the way, some pros do intervals, like one that posts on this board.

You also have to have a severely restrictive diet for rapid fat loss, on the order of 10 calories per pound.

Ouch!
No starches and lots of tilapia? I don’t think the OP could handle it.
I double-dog dare you.

Start by eating right, then I usually just throw in 30min SS Cardio at the end of my workout and that takes care of it mostly.

Alternate 1 day eat only vegetables, next day only drink tomato juice.
Alternate 1 day legs, bicycle whatever, next day superset chins-pushups.
Exercising is at least 2X daily.
Make it tuff you want to hate doing this so you get smarter and stay healthy weight.
All the best!

I assume you meant you want to keep as much muscle as possible. Getting shredded as fast as possible is not a good way to keep the muscle you worked so hard to get.

Keep protein high, at least, bare minimum, 1 gram per lb. Then either drop your fat intake down or your carb intake, depending on which you handle better. If you have some muscle on you it should be easy getting to sub 10% bodyfat without cardio. Throw some E/C/A in there and you’re golden

Damn, imagine how well I would have done in all my contests if I hadn’t lost all that muscle doing interval sprints and showing up looking merely ‘athletic’ -lol.

I’m curious what the OP has in mind when he talks about the fastest possible method. Most competitors I know will take about 16-20 weeks to drop down to single digit bodyfat, while maintaining the most possible muscle mass in the process. Sure you could drop ‘weight’ faster, but losing muscle in the process would kinda suck.

okay so I forget the technical terms.
but the other day in class my professor was talking about certain enzymes that are released after a big lift session. These enzymes tell your body to rebuild muscle/get stronger and bigger.

after a cardio session your body releases an enzyme that is counter productive to muscle growth and more worried about increasing endurance.

something to think about. ha i need to learn what these are called.

I suggest getting hit by a car. Seriously, only minor injuries but I’ve dropped 6 lbs in 5 days after having steady weight for 2 weeks. Weirdest thing I’ve ever had happen, and kind of freaks me out.

Outside of that great option, both seem to work, though mentally for me sprints and intervals always felt and logically seem like better options. That said, I don’t sprint anymore because of some injuries yet I drop fat fine without it. I would sprint if it was an option for me.

Stu, do you know a good book about this ?
Am curious about ‘playing’ with fat loss, carbs, sodium, water retention, etc…whie cuting.

Thanks !
Mathieu

I don’t think there is any kind of rapid fat loss method that won’t result in some loss of muscle mass. How much largely depends on diet but I don’t think there is a way around it. Well, apart from aas.

Haha I always trouble wording things. I meant what is the fastest, I dont mean what option will make me lose alot of fat in 4 weeks or anything. Just asking what the best way to lose fat is out of those 2 options.

Swimming back to your country should work.
If you cannot use the english to ask a ? you cannot understand the answer.
Do not eat fat fish on your way there, they are fattening!

I take it everyone else has just taken to ignoring BHappy and his insane posts?

Probably a good idea.
