I have no idea how you guys can wear grey shirts without running into massive armpit perspiration problems.

For reference, this is one of maybe 2-3 shirts I even own that are not just solid grey/blue v-necks. This is the tightest and most ‘graphic’ you can go before you venture into douchy territory. This is in full reference to my rant on that other thread :D
Is your hair blown out there?

I’m glad you brought that up. The whole shirt exposing my stomach thing makes things very difficult for me. I’m 6’1" all torso, with short arms and legs–respectively, and pectus excavatum. Because of this I need a large in the shoulders, medium through the chest and waist, and probably XL in length. My best bet, oddly enough, is cheap Mossimo (I think) v-necks from Target. But only some years are long enough, it changes all the time. Used to bother me a lot, don’t really care any more though. Part of that whole “growing up” thing I guess.

lol, no man. I have curly hair. Sometimes i keep it short and sometimes i just dont cut it for like 8 months and embrace the jewfro, this was one of them. The sides were like 6 inches long, just the angle of the pic.

As for sizes, just find what fits right, which means not too tight and not too loose. If you feel uncomfortable in it you will look it too.

You wont like the asnwer I’m going to give you, but get close to 10% bf and a normal BMI and you wont have this problem… bulking and fashion dont mix.

Around 190 and even 180 i was always sweaty and uncomfortable, granted I am 5’7". Even now at 170 i still dont feel right and will probably end up in the mid to low 160s in the not too distant future.

When I started trimming my underarm hair and stopped wearing undershirts it stopped being a problem.

Waittz, have you ever, or would you ever wear a sports jersey in public or otherwise while not playing said sport? I bought that Esquire book and can get on board with a lot of it, but I WILL wear my Jamaal Charles jersey on Sundays. Also, do you own t-shirts that have anything on them or are you against all that? I’m pretty sure that if I looked through my closet 75% of my shirts would be grey and have Jayhawks all over them.
The last part of your question is the answer to your question. Lose the jersey, as a rule of thumb the only acceptable place to wear a jersey is at a sporting event, bars dont count. Best thing to wear on sunday is a vintage or simple logo/team name shirt that fits well with a jacket or hoodie in a solid color in coolor weather.

As to everyday wear, I generally stick to plan and solid colors, namely v-necks as they just look better than crew on my build. Any kind of graphic T that i would or do wear usually has some rock and roll element to it, never a ‘fashion’ element. As always, shoot for “effortless” and “timeless”. And a hole or stain in your shirt is the wrong kind of effortless I am talking about.
That is probably the best thing about Nike getting the contract with the NFL. They always make much cooler T’s that most of your other team apparel brands. I am partial to vintage style crews though. I have spent the last month revamping my wardrobe after looking at my closet and realizing that most of the stuff I was wearing I wasn’t 100% happy with. Still have a long way to go though.

I was just messin’ with ya. You drink a lot.

CSulli- trim armpits, better deodorant, or look into Dri-sol (it’s essentially a medication that stops the sweating. I’ve used it sporadically but my sweating has gone down.

I have to redo my shirt collection. I find I enjoy wearing the solid colors more than I used to but fitment still seems to be an issue. Most seem to be tight in the chest/shoulders and then billowy in the stomach area. I agree with the Mossimo crews at Target although it seems they’ve shrunk or I’ve gotten fuller b/c they definitely are approaching awkward feeling (too short of sleeves, too tight in shoulders/chest, etc)

Wont argue that last part.

On the shirt part, you and Cooldognate should check out Armani Exchange, JCrew and Urban outfitters for their normally stocked crew and v necks. Fit well for a more athletic cut. Also H&M slim V’s in one size up from what you would normally wear are good value buyy.

I need to re address my style as well, just need to save up some money and looking into GQ and V Man, and Vogue, among a few others for ideas … Some of it seems pretty cool, others a bit too hipster for me, and some EXTREMELY feminine lol

I prefer to keep my money and invest it than have a “Style”. I wear shorts and a polo to work almost every day. I wear Jeans and a button up long sleeve Ralph Lauren Polo shirt on the workshop nights. My closet is barren. 5 long sleeve shirts and 5 polos. Go once a year and buy new ones.

I wear undershirts so deal with it Waittz.
