I’m going on 6 weeks on TRT. My levels were consistently below 300 despite every intervention except for Enclomiphene.
I pin 20mg ED (I do ED because I wanted to avoid an AI and it fits my routine).
I recently got my bloodwork done and here’s what came back:
Thyroid Panel With TSH
TSH 1.670 uIU/mL - 0.450-4.500
Thyroxine (T4) 5.4 ug/dL - 4.5-12.0
T3 Uptake 31 % - 24-39
Free Thyroxine Index 1.7 - 1.2-4.9
Testosterone, Total
Testosterone 1414 Above High Normal ng/dL - 264-916
Testosterone, Free 84.13 Above High Normal ng/dL - 5.00-21.00
% Free Testosterone 5.95 Above High Normal % - 1.50-4.20
Prolactin 3.4 Below Low Normal ng/mL - 3.9-22.7
Estradiol, Sensitive 12.3 pg/mL - 8.0-35.0
I’m putting on a ton of muscle, which is fantastic.
However, I am tired most of the day. Nothing about my routine has changed other than I’ve added the TRT. My sleep has been consistently the same. I try to get 7-8 hours of sleep a night but my watch records it as about 6-6.5 hours of sleep.
Again, none of my other metrics have changed. I am currently eating between 1700-1900 calories while in a cut. I did an aggressive cut last October and wasn’t experience the lethargy I am now while on TRT (I was on Enclomiphene).
I am also on 1.5IUs of HGH and just started HCG to try to raise my estradiol to a higher level.
How was your sleep before TRT? Did you sleep all the way through the night, or wake up frequently?
I was sleep avoidant prior to therapy. I HATED sleep, and I could only sleep for about 20 minutes at a time before I’d wake up and struggle for hours to get back to sleep, just to repeat the whole cycle. Once I started therapy, I became “sleep seeking”, and found myself wanting to get as much sleep as I could. I’m curious if you’re having a similar experience.
I’m an early riser, so I’ve always gone to bed with consistency. Prior to TRT, I was fat and lazy. I’ve spent the last two years losing weight, working out, and TRYING to optimize my testosterone production.
So, I started on a consistent sleep schedule. I go to bed at the same time and wake up at the same time.
That hasn’t changed when jumping on TRT. What’s more, seeking better muscle repair, I ensure that I don’t drink too much before bed to prevent waking during the night to urinate.
I’m trying to diagnose why I would feel that I want to nap in the early afternoon every day despite having high testosterone levels. The assertiveness and aggression I was expecting with high testosterone just hasn’t been there. Instead, I want to nap. Lol.
I started HCG this week to raise my estradiol to “high normal” to match more closely to my T levels.
I take 0.5iu pre-workout and 1.0 at night before bed.
Could that be it?
Too high? If I raise my estradiol, that should keep me from having adverse effects, no?
I could lower my dose, but man, I love the muscle. It’s insane how much I’ve grown in just five weeks. What’s more, my strength is now going up to match my newfound muscle.
I doubt its HGH but you could pause it to asses. I would not pay attention to your blood levels. what ester you on? you could switch esters, for daily Tprop is good, i felt huge diff
get a CGM as well. your blood results dont point to anything tbh
Maybe just inject either twice a week or once a week. Its obvious you dont need daily injections. You might be gassing up your CNS also by keeping your test so high. But the low e2 is strange for such a high test level. What supplements are you taking?
according to Kurt Havens, and I have a hard time finding the source for this, i think it was in the GH podcast with Vigorous Steve, cyp is the worst of the esters. he credited it to the ester shape and how the body unwinds it and i think they are doing some studies on it now. he also said that NPP is a complete disaster. personally I def feel better on Prop/Enanthate
been running Prop solo and doing mini small cycle with adding some E. ramping dose to 40mg/d total and doing great so far. with Cyp i felt like shit going higher

So from my own personal experience. Tadalafil and vitamin D (from your list) have both drastically lowered my E2 before. Labs confirmed as well. Worth looking into… Melatonin, chamomile tea and tumeric all did as well.
Test p is awesome and best ester and subq everyday small amounts is effective for keeping estrogen from spiking . How’s the hemoglobin ? Also check into sleep apnea for being tired during day.
Well, crap. So, I’ve been having TERRIBLE stomach discomfort for the last several days. After your comment, I started searching for side effects of RYR and saw that gastrointestinal issues are common when taking it. I haven’t found anything on mitochondrial issues, but I’ll keep searching. I just wanted to lower my LDL and raise my HDL.
