Whats up? i was looking around for info about extreme stretching after reading with regards to DC’s training. I found an article (www.musclemedia.com/training/abcde/v59_abc2.asp) where it says only do them for a week. Obviously from DC’s accounts it can be more frequently with good results. Wondering anyone’s experience doing them? Thanks for the help.
I have been incorporating much more stretching recently (dynamic and static as well as ‘extreme’), the results so far have been extremely positive.
Here is a Don Alessi article which I think you’ll find useful:

His advice on stretching the calves and hip flexors between sets on the Bench Press has worked particularly well for me: I added 20lbs to my PR on the 3 board press today.

What is considered an extreme stretch? I know the terms dynamic and static, but have never really heard the term extreme.
I know that because of my background i am more flexible then most men, and women, at my gym. So for me dropping into splits and bridging into full back bends is nothing to me.
Doggcrapp extreme stretching is holding weights in the fly position for 1-2 minutes after a chest workout, or hanging from a pullup bar with weights for 1-2 minutes after a back session.
