People this thing has actually been around quite a long time. I can see he’s modified it just a tad but the principles are exactly the same as, get this, CYBERGENICS used in their scam complete bodybuilding system back in the late 80’s and early 90’s. I was in high school then and everybody and there brother was on cybergenics…and the ones that followed the diet and exercise program ended up overtrained but they did make some good gains. If I remember correctly the old cybergenics program called for 3 days of less then 30 grams of carb per day…followed by 4 days of high carb with daily caloric intake equal to at least 2 times basal metabolic rate. The routine was extremely intense and high volume…the volume was probably about right…but the intensity was much too high…absolute failure on every set. But anyway…for those who decide to try this, I know it’s tempting but you’ll probably feel a lot better if you don’t eat all kinds of junk like Cap’n Crunch during your high carb days…maybe a meal or 2 it’ll be fine but I’ve seen to many people follow a cyclic ketogenic diet and mess up the carb up by eating too much sugar etc.

Anyone can tell me a exemple of what I can eat(breakfast diner…) in the day 1-2…6

And I need to take creatine or not ? If yes , WHEN (which day) ?

Please help me , I’m not good in nutrion science (and in english hehe)

I wish to start soon…

What mean : “Mike Mentzer Style (low total sets to absolute failure)” ?

Jamie, let me get this right, somebody pays their money to go to this “seminar” poliquin doesn’t like their question so he rips them or makes fun of them? seems like a great guy. if this was a newbie he’ll never be in a gym again. again poliquins a great guy. remember what they say about stupid questions, well poliquin gives stupid answers. Kelly is right this is cybercrap, poliquin has probably been sitting on this waiting for them to go out of business so he could steal it. and BypO you sound like a nice guy but don’t believe anything about this program is “Mentzer style”

I thought that looked familiar! I read a bit about that in BodyOpus. Duchaine says that Zumpano’s Rebound training system was intended for bodybuilders who had plateaued on whatever they were doing. They couldn’t keep up with the calorie requirements so they ended up losing a ton of fat because of the low carbs and that’s where BodyOpus came from!

Wow…not only Cyberbenics, but this thing reminds me of the VERY grueling diet and workout program Frank Columbo had Sly Stallone on for the “Rambo” series (wish I had a copy). If you can believe it, it was this program PLUS! Frank had Sly on a grueling schedule of aerobics, running, hill climbing, circuit training…you name it…with a diet that was LESS than what a bird would eat! But…Sly was ready for filming…

Another thing...it ALSO reminds me of how the bodybuiders used to prepare for a contest.

So, with these two things in mind; are these “Rapid” programs probably good for a single purpose; to rapidly bring out muscle fullness and definition, in a short period of time, for a specific purpose? And in support of a point JB brought up about not working for everyone? This type of contest prep worked for SOME bodybuilders and for others it was a disaster. Just something to think about.
