Exercise Induced Immune Suppression

Aopocetx, I’ve been off any steroids since 2007/2008. And though I don’t believe steroids should be as demonized as the media and some zealots like to do, I decided at that time to simply stop as I had reached the level that I was satisfied with. Someone on the T-Nation forums was undergoing a legal issue at the time that had to do with anabolics, and in support of that person I thought it was a good time to simply stop.

Oh I know all the hub bub about “losing it all” when you go off, etc…not true for everyone. I wanted to test the theory that an anabolic user could keep the majority of the gains by intelligent training, diet, and supplementation. And I have proven it to myself. Biotest products were a HUGE element of that formula which is why I’m so gung-ho on alot of the products that they have developed.

I have reintroduced “gray” area items like GHRP (I do not use Clomid and haven’t since 2008) because I had never tried them before and wanted to see what their effects on ME would be. My motto: You don’t try it, you will never know. But I don’t just jump into things without thinking it through and having a plan.

My opinion: a little bit of Clomid (12.5 mg only) or Tamoxifen (5 mg only) EOD coupled with a little GHRP 3 times a day does wonders for recuperation. Not like a medium to high dose steroid cycle, but that little bit for many folks helps keep their natural T from plummeting and the little bit of extra growth hormone secretion from the peptide signaling (really a misnomer in my opinion…GH should be called the body system signal for repair hormone) really helps with those aches and pains. Not for everyone, but I believe it would work for most. Really not that expensive either.

I’m equating physical recuperation to improved or normal immune functioning.

Nutritionally, it is my opinion that liberal use of MAG-10 throughout the day and Plazma during training will help stave off the demon of overtraining.

How would one go about obtaining said compounds to maximize hormones? Are you at all concerned that these are simply band aids to perhaps a more serious root of a hormone problem?[/quote]

I’m just providing my opinion here. There are ways to get things, but no way will I mention them.

Tribulus, D-AA, etc are all basically “chemicals” that have the ability (for some folks) to do the same type of thing Clomid and Novaldex end up doing: raising one’s testosterone levels.
But Clomid and Novaldex basically have a better track record for a greater population. Note, I did not indicate ALL.

Of course, if one were experiencing sypmptoms of low testosterone, etc, there could very well be some real medical issues that should be addressed by seeing your doctor. But if your levels are really that low, guess what type of therapy is going to be suggested? Either straight T OR intake of Clomid.
