I’ve actually seen these explode under someones weight and the person wasn’t that heavy.
i saw some chick trying to stand on one of those and do dumbbell curls the other day. it looked disastrous.
it’s ok us T-Nationers know medicine balls are the devil…along with foozball.

I know a guy who was doing dumbell bench on one of those and it popped on him. He shattered both of his wrists and broke bones in one of his hands. It happened so fast that he didnt even have time to react. Both his elbows hit the floor with the weights in his hands. He is a trainer and experienced weight lifter. He was even at the bottom portion of the lift, about to press when it popped. It was a crazy freak accident. How do you wipe your ass when both of your wrists are in a cast?
I have to do some physical therapy on one of these things, I’m always worried it’s going to pop. Poor bastard.
Fuck! Is that proof enough that these should only be used for rehab and/or core work (aka, no dumbells)? If it bursts and you don’t have any weight in your hands, you might be able to come away without an injury.

I was playing around with one at someones house and popped it. Kind of embarrassing, but hey, maybe I did them a favor.
I got home back to SA in December, and found my mom had bought one and it was in my old room.
I promptly deflated it and hid it at the top of a cupboard.
