Excessive Tea/Coffee Consumption

I’m sure you guys must’ve gotten this plenty a times, but is it true that people who need to keep their T levels high (typically lifters and athletes etc) should refrain from too much caffeine, especially the caffeine that comes from regular and green tea, since it lowers overall T levels?

I hope I’m making sense…

Uhh… a little input here guys.

Thanks…

I have heard that caffeine can increase production of SHBG, but that is the only thing that I can think of in which caffeine and testosterone interact.

And given how many people who have a lot of muscle also have caffeine before workouts, I doubt this increase in production is significant (plus, Insulin binds to SHBG, so the potential decrease in free T is negated by a factor I would believe to be more significant with proper nutrition).

Overall, I don’t think it would be too significant; IMO, don’t worry too much about it.

You lazy.

that was awesome!! hahaha!!!

“lmgtfy” is always funny.

I drink 4-5 cups of green tea per day and haven’t started crying during chic flicks or getting really really bitchy once a month.

^^^ Likewise and agreed.

Now, excessive coffee is where one might run into problems (via unplanned bowel movements)
