I want to do the Velocity Diet, but where I live(Trinidad in the Caribbean)I am unable to get any Biotest supplements. Can I substitute Evopro(musclemilk protein) instead of Metabolic Drive?

Being in Canada, I used Evopro and I also used Muscle Milk for one of the meals to get my calories up. I have not been hungry. In fact, some nights I have to remember to take my last drink. I have just finished day 23 and I have lost 16 pounds. I stared at 185.
I live in Trinidad and get Biotest supplements. PM me and we can work something out.
EvoPro tastes like shit. It’s very chemical-tasting. I’d avoid it if possible. Metabolic Drive is light years above it in taste, and less calories per serving too (yet more satisfying).

I’ve never had Evo Pro, and probably never will, as I only trust two or three brands to be honest about ingredients (Biotest and one or two other companies). Still, your point is pretty lame.
There are more calories in Evo Pro because there is more protein per serving. (I just read the label online.) That you would make the point about calories indicates that your assessment is incredible.

Uhm, my point is that Metabolic Drive is more filling and satisfying but it takes less calories and protein to accomplish that.

LOL. If you get satisifed off of 20 grams of protein, then I have to wonder why you have “huge” in your moniker.

Are you insane? The ~20 grams of casein protein in Metabolic Drive are way more hunger satiating than EvoPro’s 26 grams of MOSTLY whey. It mixes like whey, tastes like whey, but claims to be a casein blend.
Sure. It sucks and tastes like shit. Enjoy it if you want…
Oh, and 26 grams will satiate you? YOU MUST BE HYOOGGEEE!!!

Dont wanna start anything, but per scoop, Metabolic Drive is about 50% casein 50% whey… maybe lower, it does not give exact amounts.

How do you know? I don’t know the ratio in either protein blend. I’m willing to bet you don’t, either. You’re just being a fan boy.
“Metabolic Drive is SOOOOOOOOO much more [insert adjective] than Evo Pro.” I showed why you were being silly by making the “too many calories in Evo Pro” argument. Then you switched to, “One scoop of 20 grams of protein is enough to rock my world!” Pretty humorous.
Then you said Metabolic Drive has 20 grams of caesin in it. You were wrong yet again.
They are both protein powders. There is nothing magical about either.
I stick with Biotest products because of the rampant labelling fraud in the industry. I don’t have to worry about such nonsense w/Biotest. But just because I’m a brand loyalist doesn’t mean I look for opportunities to make silly arguments.

I just read the label for Evo Pro. Caesin is listed as the first ingredient. Thus, per the label, Evo Pro has MORE caesin.
I’m done chatting with you. It’s pretty clear you’ll say anything - truthful or not.

Uhm, the awful chemical taste of EvoPro, the 26 grams of protein in the 140 calories per scoop, and the more fat and PROBABLY less casein than Metabolic Drive make it a bad alternative to Metabolic Drive. I’ve tried 3 flavors of EvoPro and all of the Metabolic Drive variations: EvoPro isn’t close.
The main point of this isn’t how much casein is in EvoPro, but that it wouldn’t even be an alternative ot Metabolic Drive for something like the V-Diet. It tastes horrible and it isn’t as satiating.
Metabolic Drive - 100 calories/20 grams = 5
EvoPro - 140 cals/26 = 5.38
Throw out the higher fat content in EvoPro and…
with apoligies to Shugart and Biotest…
it is called the velocity diet, not the Metabolic Drive diet.
if you find it to taste poor, good for you, you are a taster for one of the artificial flavoring compounds. so are some people i know who have tried it. however, many others like myself have used it and not found this.
do i think Metabolic Drive tastes better? HELL YA and that is why i use it exclusively. that’s right, i don’t even rotate through 3 different protein powders like Poliquin recommends (not to mention sources).
this is not to say that purely as a protein source, the evopro is worse than the Biotest Metabolic Drive (note the evopro in muscle milk is a crappier mix with more whey and less casein). i think if one is judging by this regard, they are pretty much equal.
as for the fat, yes canola oil, sunflower and/or safflower oil, MCT’S are going to kill you and that 16kcal per scoop difference (after you subtract 24 kcal (6g*4kcal/g) from the 40 difference between the two, well that is just gonna kill your v-diet.
please stop, i know you want to help Biotest since it is a good company with killer products, but misinforming people looking for straight answers only makes them look worse. you could have noted your opinions in a clear fashion, but instead chose the low road.
whether or not evopro tastes as good as Metabolic Drive is a valid issue for most consumers as they are COMPETING products at similar prices and to a much lesser degree the fat issue.

I’ll make this simple for you. I BOUGHT EvoPro, tried it, and hated it. To be honest, the vanilla was the best tasting when compared to their chocolate and tropical flavor. It’s just very “chemical” tasting to me.
But sure, save some money and get 6 more grams of protein per scoop if that’s so important to you.
What I could never understand is why one would buy a product with so much canola oil added.
If you really want that much added fat, there are far better fats to add that are relatively inexpensive.
This thread was started by someone, outside of the USA, who was not interested in whether one brand was better than the other. But if he wants to do the V-Diet and wants to know if he could do the V-Diet with another brand and be successful, since the Biotest products where unavailable to him. Whether from a convience, availablity or cost.
I did finish the diet with the other brands and was successful. I lost 17 pounds. Would I have lost more on Metabolic Drive? Who knows. But I was happy with my results.
Is Evopro my whey powder of choice? No. I hate the way it clumps. But it got me through the month and I hit a goal that I never thought I would get to.

the 6g is glutamine anyhow
