Played B-Ball with Barrak Obama and some other Chi-pol types…
Jaime Eason works out at my gym, did hack squats next to her last night while she was squatting w/ who i am assuming is her bf. beautiful in person. and very petite
I should add that now that I’m older, someones “celebrity” has absolutely no effect on me, but as a little guy I’d get starstruck.
Kareem Abdul-Jabbar at Stapleton Airport. I felt bad for him. He was checking his flight status on one of those overhead screens and there was a ring of people standing about 10 feet from him. There were about 15-20 people just silently staring at him.
John McEnroe on a beach side deck in Malibu. Nice guy.
Chi McBride in O’Hare. A couple of stewardesses were flirting with him. It was pretty funny. Huge dude. Seemed really nice.
I was good friends with Geoff Tate’s sister in high school. Never met the guy, but I got to look at his awards (gold albums and stuff) at her house.
I saw Ron Jeremy at an IHOP near Victorville a couple of years ago while having breakfast with my GF and her parents.
Hijack: I find it funny - and telling- that the two people who argue on this site more than anyone made the exact same lame joke within minutes of each other.

Gonugs, right on! I used to idolize Geoff Tate when I was in high school. His sister must have been a lot younger then him?
Standing alongside the ropes between the 14th and 15th green at the 2003 Buick Classic. Tiger Putts in for a tough par, a grinder, 6 ft a little downhill and breaking left to right. Some people cheer, some just clap. As he starts walking up the hill people are shouting his name like a bunch of idiots. He gets about 3-4 feet away from me and in a normal voice, like you would use after one of your buddies had made the putt I just said, Nice grinding there. And he paused looked up and looked me in the eyes and gave me a “thanks man” and then walked to the next tee.
I felt pretty good that day, I mean amongst a chorus of thousands of people screaming for his attention, He heard one voice and it was a voice he related to and felt compelled to respond. The person on the other side of the rope wasn’t looking for a photo, or an autograph, he just simply wanted to show appreciation, and for that he thanked me. It was pretty cool.
When I was a child I used to go to nascar races with my uncle and aunt. My uncle and I would think of all kinds of schemes to sneak into the pit area and the garage area. every one of the 13+ races I ahve been to I have snuck into the pits. Talked to drivers, crewmen, anyone. Nacar guys are great, they will literally sit there and talk to you for 10 minutes if they have no where to be.
This one time I was at a signing for ken schrader, I was 10 maybe. I had on a schrader hat, a shirt, and was carrying a couple things for him to sign, including a hand carved wooden car. For some reason he seemed to like me and when he signed my car he asked if I was busy. I said no and looked back to my aunt and uncle. He goes, well I gotta go meet my crew chief out on the track would you like to ride around with us?
So for the next couple hours I sat in the back of a van with Ken schraders Crew chief driving a minivan and him in the passenger seat, talking about thier strategy on the track. This was at Watkins Glen, a road course, so it’s a little different than your oval tracks. Both of them made it a point to talk to me the whole time too, it was really cool.
Also my uncles wife is sisters with Urban Myers Wife. And I am a gators fan so thats just cool.

Never seen a famous person. But I would like to meet and shake hands with Chuck Norris.

i saw isabella rosselini in rome once. she was so worried about being approached and her daughter was acting like there was going to be a riot. drama. we were not even close and someone i was with was whispering that it was her. i guess the sound carried. not that serious. i was at a disco once and julius ervin came in with some equally tall friends.

He has 2 sisters. I was friends with the younger one and she was about 10 years younger.
She let me listen to some unreleased stuff that they had done. I wish I was more into their music. It would have been much more fun that way.
Seeing the gold records in her house the first time was pretty funny. She never mentioned that her brother was in Queensryche before that. I’m looking at these albums on the wall saying, “Why the hell do you have gold Queensryche albums?”
Does Thib count as famous?

Yes, its just disappointing that the coolest thing I’ll ever do in my life happened when I was about 8.
I went to a taping of The Colbert Report today. It wasn’t really like “meeting” him but I was able to see and talk to him when he was out of character.
I met IFBB pro Craig Titus and his wife Kelly Ryan (both now are in jail for murder) and Mariusz Pudzianowski. Mariusz was the Worlds Strongest Man at the time and did not speak a word of English. I had to talk to his friend to translate everything.
