Holy shit.

I don’t think i’d let my kid be laying with all of them cats.

In fact, that’s probably too many cats to have.

I can’t believe I actually said that.

Since we were talking about foam rollers…

When I was doing BBB pretty much everything was like that because you’re trying to stay in the rep range with limited rest so I ended up doing that for a few months. It ended up being like:

Squats
warm up then
315x10
275x10
225x10
185x10
135x10

with one minute rest between sets
Then I writhed on the floor trying not to puke

lots of fun :P, and it worked great while I was gaining weight fast but was too much volume otherwise
Dude that sounds fucking torturous. Jesus christ. No way on earth I would last with that strict of rest times, or that much volume… Hats off to ya.
That was actually the maximum volume in the program that only lasted a week, usually it would only be three sets with longer rest periods during the ‘cruise’ phase (which was the longer phase) then the ramps would crank the volume up to five sets and reduce the rest times.

It actually wouldn’t be so bad if you weren’t doing that 3 times a week :P. That program is definitely great when you’re gaining weight though, but it intentionally overtrains you and the leg sessions are fucking brutal.
See, I would like to think I could follow a set out program like that, but I know one day, like a week in I would just say “fuck it, I feel like pulling a PR today.” Or “my shoulders look pathetic, lets hit them again.”

I have a problem with structure sometimes.

Yup, me too.

Totally an emotional lifter.

Just a little bit of structure, but with plenty of room for change.

Yeah, even in a situation like this where it may very well be to my detriment.

Oh, absolutely. That’s what got me injured. Being stressed and not getting enough rest.

But, when everything’s in check, you’ll see that there’s no such thing as overtraining. You’ll know what you can train and what you shouldn’t.
