Girl With The Dragon Tattoo…great movie, although I walked out of it, as I read/am reading the books, and what the director did annoyed the piss out of me. Rooney Mara was just damned sexy. The intro was pretty awesome. It tied the elements of Lisbeth together nicely.

I’m surprised with all the nudity they are getting away with nowadays. It’s about damn time in my opinion. I liked the American version of the movie better than the Swedish one. Intro was damn cool with the cover of The Immigrant Song.
This is a cheap rip off of Gladiator, although the story line is not quite the same. Gruesome and bloody, but Channing Tatum is a tough sell as a Roman soldier.
I would rather go stand in line at the DMV than see this again.

I agree… however I only saw the first 10 minutes of it and was completely put off and had to turn it off. Terrible acting, unrealistic lighting, etc.
I think Gladiator raised the bar for the genre. Probably TOO high to match.
Gladiator was epic in every sense of the word.
I haven’t watched much as of late due to work and prior commitments, but I’m looking forward to slowly getting caught up this week with what everyone is recommending.

The nudity is a pretty funny thing over here, as Germans are pretty open about it. One of the posters for Dragon shows a bare-chested Mara being held from behind by Craig. Pretty hot.
Deborah 13. Documentary following girl from a heavily indoctrinated Christian family in rural England. Home schooled and little to no interation with people outside her own family.
Interesting and comedic at times. Can’t help but feel sorry for her. The last scene was just kinda fucked up.

I have one of those in the male variety in my unit. A very sad story, but also makes me angry at his parents.
watched Goon two nights ago just to do something with the gf, enjoyed it.
sean william scott actually pulled off being an idiot without having to go full retard and the violence was just perfect, liev schrieber needs more hollywood roles, as a villian especially, guys got one badass scowl
Wasn’t really excited about it. And I’m not really a Bradley Cooper’s fan. But it turned out to be a fast paced and enjoyable film. Great concept. Makes you think a lot at the end. I loved the artistic camera/colouring work used during the scenes when the users are under the influence of the drug. Brad Cooper was surprisingly good in it. And De Niro, well…still the same ol’ De Niro
Anyone else seen Haywire yet? Took the wife last night. We thought it was pretty good. Decent action, though some of the fight scenes with her were a little slow/stumbly. Some of the others(especially in the hotel - no spoiler, it was in the trailer), they obviously cut a few frames as she was kicking or kneeing, which made the impact seem more ‘snappy’.
Her acting was decent, though I didn’t realize her voice was that low. Some of the plot didn’t make sense(you’ll see), and Channing Tatum’s acting was horrible, as was the overall dialogue in several spots. I couldn’t decide if it was the cript, or the people delivering it. Just seemed jumbled.
I guess those are a lot of cons. Like I said, overall we thought it was pretty good. It is a Soderbergh flick, and it reminded me of Oceans 12, with several stretches where there is a lot going on, but no dialogue, just groovy music filling the background.
She definitely can sell action though (unlike Angelina Jolie - Tomb Raider? Really?), and looks amazing. I think with a little coaching she could be a good action chick.
