Even Breathing Feels All Right

there might have been some form to work on during the 190lbs but I also saw some nice cut arms and a killer smile spiderlady!

we all round are backs when pulling near max.

Hi Spidey. Yay for DL increases. And you’ve got some cut quads there for wearin’ the short shorts this summer. Looking lean and mean. Good grief, I can really see a triceps dent too. You look soo happy getting that big DL! YAY!!

YUSS! I love when I pop into logs and find vids ready for the viewing

Great DLing Arachne! 190 is excellent! Sounds like you’ve already troubleshooted (shot?) your form issues - so nothing from me.

Jealous of the running btw. Do it for meeeee!

Thanks for the deadlift and leanness love, beautiful women! I’m going to post vids of my deload next week so we can see exactly where my form breaks down and how I do with adjusting my form as smartie suggested. I predict new RMs next cycle on both squat and deadlift. YAY! YAY! (sorry I got carried away).

Masch, running is apparently critical to my well-being. I’m even starting to not-hate^c^c like it for periods of time.

5/27/11
Squat day after business travel this week.
Cycle 3, week 3 (5/3/1 week).
Training max 123 actual max 121 = 105% bw.

warmup bar, 65, 85
working 5x92.5 3x105 1x117.5 < E-zay! I probably should have done more reps. I think I’m ready for a new max, my friends.

I went with the jackshit accessory plan today so I could get the run in.
2x10 back extension on the big blue ball.

1 mile on the treadmill.

I’m also up to day 6 of my chinup/pushup/lunge plan, so 6 each of those.

ya, killer progress and killer smile!!

keep killin it!

Thanks mim, you doll.

Still struggling with whatever the hell is wrong with me lately. I’m on deload week so
deadlift 5x80, 100, 120 all with slightly wider stance and toes pointed out. It felt just fine.
Some ridiculous leg extension and ham curls on the machine at half capacity which means the toy weights just flew up.

I’m on day 10 of chinups/pushups/lunges so 5+2+3 chinups and 10 of the rest.
1 mile treadmill 11 minutes 10 seconds.

That’s all I’ve got. I swear. Ok, dramatic chipmunk then.

yeah spiderlady!

Glad to hear that the toes out feels okay! I look forward to your deadlift vids!

As you know, I fight knee cave on squats too. On the rare occasion that I conv. deadlift, I find the knee cave issue plagues me. However, I don’t have knee cave issues on my sumo deadlift. If you haven’t tried sumo, give it a shot if you haven’t tried it recently. We seem to have similar body types, and sumo fits better with mine so it might work for you too.

Videos! Yay!

kimba, I did try sumo briefly. I couldn’t tell if it was good for me or not. As for similar body types, I will dispute that. Whenever I see pictures of you I wonder how you can look so much TALLER than I do when I am at the same weight and height. I think you have longer limbs (though not as long as our friend snap). I have extremely short calves for my height an a relatively longer torso for my limbs.

thanks for the support mainy and smart. Check the next post for what happened to me this week!

This is what happened to me on Thursday! Thank god I’m on a deload week. I never did get around to deload bench or squat and that’s just fine.

I got a few bruises and scrapes and a stiff neck but today I’m glad to report I feel fine top to bottom. I think being strong helps in a car accident!

Yesterday I got this. I even suspended chinups/lunges/pushups until I could check how I felt. I am ready to kick ass this week on my four cycle of 5/3/1. Yay!

Nice new ride!

sorry about the accident - hope you heal up quickly!

Yikes. I sure hope you’re alright. How convenient that your mishap happened on a de-load week. Good luck this week with the serious weights.

fuck! glad to know your not too busted from the accident. Make sure your ready. A stiff neck can be a bitch.

That little VW gave its life for you. Thank goodness you are OK!

Is the new ride a Hyundai? If so, which one? We are looking to get a Hyundai Sonata hybrid when or if they finally came out.

Being strong helps in everything.

So glad you’re okay. But then again, you have the spirit of a honey badger!

Guys, thanks! I am totally fine, but for the nasty seatbelt abrasion and couple of wicked leg bruises. I feel ready to dominate my sets this week.

Nadia, that made me laugh out loud. What an great juxtaposition! Rrr!

Kimba, it is a Hyundai. It’s an Elantra GLS and it’s a six-speed manual claiming 35 mpg average. I think it is totally affordable for the type/style/size and it has sleek lines and a huge trunk. I was insisting on a hatch for carrying bikes and snowboards but I changed my mind based on mpg and price.

Glad you are ok!!!
