Mirin’ so hard.
Awesome leg session too, making me jelly because I have got calf tendinitis and can’t train my damn legs right now.

Awesome, up 22 pounds with some good detail showing and some abs poppin’
I hope to retain similar detail as I progress upwards in bodyweight.

Ya, the conditioning I have now is better than it was last time at this same weight and is closer to what I was around 212 or so. Pretty happy with that.
I’m glad I didn’t participate in this volume shenanigans

Ya but it would help you skwatt moar.
Lol, ya today was brutal.
Det and I were going to train, but due to car problems, we couldn’t. Hopefully soon!
Hey Ev, what is the idea behind the rep scheme for your RDL worksets? Seems interesting.

Are you referring to how I kinda ‘waved’ from 385-405? If so, it just worked out that way lol. JM called for 4 hard sets of 10, so I thought 385 felt good, went up, 405 felt good, a little heavy, so I went back down and then decided to hit 405 again and it felt better.
5.15.12
Chest/Shoulders/Cardio
Doubled Mini Band Life Fitness Incline Press (flex hard at top for second)
1 pps x 8
1 pps + 25 x 8
2 pps x 8
2 pps + 25 x 8 drop to 1 pps + 25 x failure to 1 pps x partials to failure
DB Bench w/45 lb plate under back for slight incline (super strict, flex at top, deep stretch/pause)
30 x 12
65 x 12
70 x 12, 12 + 8 flexes
Pec Deck Flies
2x20
3x3
Slight Decline Smith Press (no lockout)
275 x 8
285 x 6
285 x 6 to 195 x 10 to 135 (ultra wide) x 20
DB Laterals w/slow negative/Incline Rear Delt Swings
30 x 8/35 x 50 (try to really make all swings ‘big’)
35 x 8/50 x 50 (half like top, half just making it)
Pec Deck Rear Delt Flies
2x15
1x35
Barbell Over and Back Press
65 x 10
95 x 10
100 x 10
80 x 10
Reverse EZ Bar Pushdowns
5 sets, 12-15 reps
15 minutes stairmaster
15 minutes incline treadmill
Awesome chest/shoulder session.
The life fitness incline is like a hammer strength incline clone, but in my experience it’s a bit harder for some reason. Flexing hard against the bands felt awesome. The DB presses destroyed my chest…funny that I used to think I had to hit at least the 130s or 140s for 8-12 in a chest session to have a good workout.
Declines to finish it off felt great as they usually do. The laterals/swing superset had my entire shoulder screaming. Finishing with the over and backs was brutal.
Very happy with where I’m at right now.
How do you go about judging how lean you are? What do you look for in the pics? I have no idea how to really judge leaness. Any tips?
Looking jacked though, now you just need a tan lol
Session looking damn good. Those stric stretch/hold movements are brutal. I like to do a couple of those for each muscle. JM knows how to make a workout.

Hmm, well right now, since it’s in the ‘beginning’ stages of leaning out, I look for ab definition/pop, chest striations in this pose, shoulder veins, serratus, and probably face.
Ya, a tan would be nice. I’m happy with how I look right now leanness wise, but think that I could look great/maintain 210-212.
JM knows his stuff for sure lol.
Appreciate the feedback. Trying to figure how da fack to watch my leaness objectively, rather than just huh look alright today i guess.

I hear ya man.
I think taking weekly progress pics are integral in objectively seeing leanness, specifically, back and front.
5.16.12
30 minutes incline treadmill fmc
Will be back to the gym later for maybe some sprints, abs, calves, and stretching.
Since I am done with school and have a ton of time on my hands for the next 2 weeks, I’ll be taking advantage and ramping up cardio until my vacation.

This sounds like a great idea whilst ‘bulking’. Back and front, same pose, same position/lighting/time, weekly. I’m going to try it.
Looking… even leaner. Nice.

Ya, they’re an awesome gauge. Also, if you taken them consistently, you can look back months or even years and really get a good idea as to how much you’ve improved.
