I find myself thinking this too. For some reason, he just doesn’t get that nasty, grainy look some others do. Imagine if he did though. With his structure that would just be insane looking.

just like lionel beyeke. he looks like a chocolate glazed donut.

I’m so disgusted with today’s bodybuilding’s judging criteria. Branch Warren looks like a bag of potatoes yet gets 2nd place, while a perfect Cedric McMillan gets 4th?

Didn’t you originally have BW as an avatar when you first signed up?

LOL! I don’t recall, but if I did, it was a joke!

For sure. He just looks smooth to me. Lean but smooth.

Evan’s on stage pics looked like he’s getting entry level Palumboism, shame

lol.

anyways, regarding Ced, I don’t think he’s ever put in sufficient effort in the kitchen or on the treadmill to get to the level of conditioning he needs to place better.

a lot of guys are too afraid of sacrificing size for condition.

either way, he hasn’t been working with Aceto for too long, maybe they are still trying to figure out what works for him

If I recall correctly Cedric has very long work hours, has a wife and kids. I think his lifestyle might affect his preps.

definitely… the added stress of work and family life, not to mention the level of time both of those things consume would definitely take away from his ability to commit to bodybuilding 100%.

it’s a shame really, he’s in his late 30’s and I don’t think we will ever see what he is fully capable of.

as for evan’s recent pictures…I believe those are mirror shots.

remember the ones of flex lewis where he looked absolutely monstrous? and then at his next competition, he looked pretty much the same as his previous one…

never go by pictures leading up to the comp… they can be very misleading… they would have had you believing that Compton would be absolutely dwarfed by Evan and Cedric… where that really was not the case at all.

Yep. However, out of every pro competing right now, I believe Cedric has the least tweaks of anyone in order to get to the top. Tall, great size, near flawless proportions, terrific separation, and classy stage presentation. All he really needs is sharper conditioning, and perhaps a more bold posing routine (like Arnold had) to really bring out his power on stage.

If he can do this, I believe it would be lights out for Phil.

I seem to remember an interview with him where he basically said he does what he thinks is best, even if it doesn’t get him wins. That things like his leg size and conditioning are to his ideals, not the judges. Or at least that’s the way I took it. It’s one of the reasons I like him.

Ced is one of the only top pros I’d want to look like.

Same here, DD. He does it for the love of the art, not the game.

Evan Centopani is my favorite pro at the moment. I love his look.

Plus, he’s like a regular guy, and is really smart to boot!

He does have a very good look, and I’m sure most of us wouldn’t mind having his build. Still, seeing how he places at top pro shows just reinforces how crazy the upper level competitors and desired standards by the IFBB truly are.
