Spanish fans often openly mock black sportmen and the press always goes along with it. I guess to some Spanish people, that’s normal behaviour. So what I’d perceive as racist in the press will certainly be nothing to you or to another Spanish person.

it sounds like this should’ve been posted 10 years ago. Have you watched football this decade mate? Italy used to be very boring and defensive, they have recently been praised (on British tv) for there new more attacking style of play. They couldnt cope against Spain because Spain played more direct, hence why i said ‘atleast they didnt play boring’

Spain are very good, brilliant in fact but you cant honestly tell me you wanna watch them pass along the half way line for 80 mins?? if you watched football consistently you would understand but from your post it sounds like your listening to someone who hasnt seen modern football and is going on past styles of teams

10 years ago? look at the stats from both teams THIS EUROCUP, right now, 2012. Look at how many goals Spain scored and how many goals Italy scored(12 against 6), that is double the amount for Spain. They’re a great team, they pass, they score and it’s hard to score on them. If you think that is boring then I don’t know what you call entertaining.

scoring 12 goals compared to 6 sounds AWESOME!! but four of them were in one game against Italy (the game i said they played NON boring) so that knocks it down to only 2 goal differnce, big deal, the reality of it really isnt that entertaining over a course of a WHOLE tournament as each team had another 5 games, the first game was against each other.

please answer me this, did you watch the Spain v Portugal game?? (or did you read the stats?) because seeing 800+ passes SOUNDS great, but when they are mostly on the half way line back and forth to each other, they aint and it bores people. It was boring, everyone said it and it was, the only people who said it wasnt were the ones that didnt watch it and read the paper the next day biggin’ up Spain.

I feel like im repeating myself alot by saying Spain are good, i dont want people to think that i think they arent but can be boring.

The next world cup will be great cos im sure teams like Brazil, Argentina and even some African teams will be so intent on beating them it can only create entertaining football.
