I can sense a USA vs the World on why soccer is boring, a pussy sport, blah blah blah argument brewing.
The Three Lions should win this comfortably but not without taking some damage from the Yanks. 3-1 sounds about right. Rooney will get on the scoresheet. England will probably get a penalty (given the anticipated physical battle between the two countries) which Lampard will tuck away. The rest is up for grabs, though I can see Dempsey grabbing the consolation goal for the US.
Its going to be a high scoring soccer match.

I’ve never been as wrapped up in the World Cup as I am this year. In fact, I’ve gone so far as to find out this it is taking place now rather than finding out six months later 
When is the game? I’ll be sure to shout “America! Fuck yeah!” loud enough to drown out the tea time chants or whatever the limeys are carrying on about during the game.

Every World Cup, I say to myself “OK, I’m in the minority here. The overwhelming majority of the world LOVES this game, so I’m going to give it another chance”.
And every World Cup, I reaffirm my position that soccer is significantly less exciting than watching two drunken Siberian Eskimos in a kayak race on Lake Baikal. Probably anywhere from 65-85% less exciting.
I just don’t get it. But in all fairness, much of the world thinks Ice Hockey is retarded too. I suppose what you’re raised with has a big influence.

Yeah, hockey (NOT ice hockey - hockey is played on the ice) is a better, faster, tougher, higher-scoring game, but the World Cup is interesting just 'cause it’s so international. Each country has its own style.
That said, I’m rooting for England.

Agree with you. I gave it a chance by watching France v. Uruguay, how freaking boring. I’ll still watch tomorrow’s match-up though.
i want usa to beat them…i know this wont happen but thats what i want.
Should be a good game, but I’d put my money on England to win. Fabio Capello has really transformed this squad during the past year.
