Escalation in Israel

Hamas is a wing of the Muslim Brotherhood, which does have stated purposes for the world. Radical Islam is a religion that wants world domination. Convert unbelievers, or force a tax or death on those who refuse to convert. It doesn’t stop in the Middle East. There is a reason they call America “The Great Satan” and Israel “Little Satan”. We can sit here and say that there is no agenda towards the rest of the world, but what is happening does not bear that out.

As far the Gaza conflict:
http://www.thejerusalemfund.org/www.thejerusalemfund.org/carryover/documents/charter.html?chocaid=397

Read the Hamas charter. Doesn’t seem to be a whole lot of room for a two-state solution. (Focus on Articles 11-15). And to say that “Radical” Islam doesn’t have a focus to destroy all Jews but only Zionism is really an ignorant statement and keeping the cloth over your eyes with what is going on in this world, and has gone on for centuries. Unfortunately, you won’t allow anyone to convince you otherwise, because it harms your view on the issue at large.

Nope. The majority of the world’s Jewish population lives outside Israel, and does not want to live in Israel. There are about about 6.5 million Jews in Israel, 5.5 million Jews in the USA, and about 6.5 million Jews in Europe (inc Russia).

Hamas has no designs on Western Europe, Eastern Europe, America or Russia; nor in the Jews that live there. Hamas is against Zionism which is not actually believed to the extent they live it by most Jews.

This is what you Israel supporters just don’t get - Israel is not in any way representative of the worlds Jews and not even where most of them live or want to live!
Wow, I am impressed with your mobility you had to duck so low to miss that point. It almost got you.

Do you at least admit that the goal of Hamas is the genocide of Jews living in Israel? And how do you feel about that?
Nope, they would far prefer them to go back to the country they came from.

And as I’ve said earlier in this thread, Hamas only call for violence because the Israelis will not give a fair two state solution through peaceful negotiations. Just as the ANC resorted to terrorism, because the Boers were never going to give up their power unless their hand was forced.
.
As you illustrious sidekick has already pointed out, 75% of Palestinians are not in favor of a two state solution. Try again…

If by capitalist you mean corrupt, of course it is. Unfortunately most Americans don’t have much insight into domestic politics in Israel, but essentially it is all about sex, bribery, criminality and corruption. More like Italian politics than anywhere else. And they export this abroad, they are the 4th most aggressive country spying against America, and most of this is commercial espionage. Israel Won't Stop Spying on the U.S.

Israel may be patriotic but only because it is under threat. One reason the Israeli elites are interested in manufacturing conflicts with the countries surrounding it and the countries it part occupies is that Israel is very much an immigrant society which could fracture pretty quickly in peacetime. Not only that, but the religious divides are deep seated and a matter of constant tension (although again this is suspended by war).
And just how have you come to this superior state of understanding of Israeli politics beyond that of Americans?
Well I just posted one link which convincingly proves how Israel is attacking and stealing from America. That is something to get you started.

Well because I read a lot about Israel. Not many on this thread actually seem to. Its a well known saying that Americans are more pro-Israel than Israeli’s, because they have no idea what the country is actually like.

Nope. They both agreed to a ceasefire, then Israel said ‘despite the ceasefire we will go on destroying and attacking the tunnels, regardless of collateral damage’. Hamas responded.
In fairness the Israelis did not stop shelling Gaza during this supposed ceasefire. Neither side had any intention of obeying it.
Proof?
See bottom of feed.

“At least four Palestinians are killed by tank fire after the ceasefire starts at 8am local time.”

“Shortly before 10am Israeli tanks shelled the eastern part of the town of Rafah in southern Gaza, killing at least four people and wounding 15, said health ministry official Ashraf al-Kidra and Gaza police spokesman Ayman Batniji.”

I personally don’t think either side had any intention of obeying this ceasefire. It gave neither side any of what they wanted.

You are really getting in the way of the Hamas is a humanitarian organization who is only defending themselves and just wants to live in peace narrative. With all those facts being shared like that a rational person might stop eating up all the propaganda. You need to stop it.

Perhaps because the two state solutions presented to them have not been fair and they know an Israeli two state solution isn’t actually one at all.

Its no more a fact than asserting all Christians, preachers, vicars and priests want to burn homosexuals alive because of the story of Sodom and Gomorrah in the Bible.

You haven’t posted any facts at all though. Here is a tip. Go on Amazon, find some nice peer reviewed academic books on Israel’s history by some clever Israeli Jewish academics, order them, and read up on Israel’s history. Then you might get a little bit more of a sense of nuance around the conflict and heaven forbid, have some idea of what is actually happening over there.

Anything not to address the point in the article. Obviously I did not mean all Americans. Many Americans know a lot about Israel. However most, including its biggest supporters, do not know much.
