This conflict, like this thread, will never really end. It’s always the same pattern. The Palestinians instigate a conflict, Israel responds, the world goes up in arms over the pictures of corpses from the conflict and begs Israel to stop. Israel eventually stops, Hamas rearms and re-instigates. Same thing happens again.
Aside from Israel, I don’t see anybody willing to do what needs to be done to create a sustainable peace. What needs to be done is ugly. Aside from an act of God or a change of heart on the part of the Arabs (which would be arguably more miraculous) in that part of the world, this will continue. It sucks.

I say bullshit on 2 accounts

Hamas is the elected government of Palestine. That’s the equivalent of saying America isn’t at fighting in Afghanistan right now, the Democrats are.

Israel could have easily arrested these people as well . It would have taken no more than a presence like they used to have .

Does any one even know the identity of the killer or killers ?

Why should Israel arrest the killers? They are not governing Gaza, Hamas is. It’s their responsibility to arrest these people.

The difference is Gaza and the West Bank are not a prison. They are supposed to be run by the elected Palestinian officials that have been funded hand over fist by the UN but are inept war mongers who take the money and use it to further there attempts to overrun Israel, who has in turn had to place sanctions against an enemy of their national security. The blockade is one tactic to keep conflicts like this from getting worse. Also, Israel is not the only group that has imposed a blockade on Palestine. Egypt is part of that too. Why aren’t you calling for Egypt to foot the bill for this?
Although the situation can be said to resemble a prison, it was not the point for Israels withdrawal from Gaza. It’s the result of a process. The embargo is not there to make gazans miserable, is it? It’s aim is to prevent Hamas from using the goods for their own aims. The result resembles a prison a la Carpenters Escape from New York, but the mechanics behind it are totally different.

I would not call Egypt to foot the bill Because Egypt just closed it’s borders.

Israel even limits the distance ships can sail in the sea Israel has Gaza surrounded . I would agree that with out Egypt’s acquiescence the wall would not be complete
