Gerrard, what is your idea, what should Israel do then?

the reason we have a problem in Gaza today is because Israel is in violation of international law and Un resolutions, there will never be a military solution to this conflict-
don’t you mean Humas ?

First of all no, and second of all don’t YOU mean Hamas?
No
I don’t mean Hamas ![]()
So all the Palestinians are the enemy ?

“The Palestinians are the ones who refuse to stop killing” is what I said. Are you denying that Hamas members are Palestinians?
I can’t decide if you’re being deliberately obtuse or if you don’t realize it.

Radical Islam will never stop, never surrender…they will keep fighting till the Little Satan and the Big Satan are eliminated.
Anybody who thinks peace is possible with these people is INSANE.

Pat, wouldn’t it be a lot nicer if Hamas dropped leaflets into Israel to let them know they are going to fire rockets. That would be a lot better wouldn’t it?

If that’s the “score”, you’d THINK those stupid muther fuckers would stop firing rockets at Israel…
Why? so the can die or starvation and die slowly later? the conditions in Gaza are so bad due to the blockade where Israel stops food, medicine, water, power etc that its not worth living - Gaza is the world’s largest prizon
So you think that the LOGICAL solution is for Hamas to KEEP firing rockets into Israel, but that Israel should just do nothing… You are fucking retarded.
Read the thread, idiot - Israel SUPPLIED Gaza with power, but Hamas fired rockets at the power plant! And then they cry, “oh, it’s so HORRIBLE here”… They are fucking STUPID! That’s what the problem is.
not everyone in Gaza is firing rockets, certainly not the children or the disabled people resting in their homes
And Israel drops leaflets, makes calls and tells the people what is being targeted and when. Israel is giving the innocents the chance to get out of harms way.
Further, they can identify themselves as innocents and not be harmed. I really don’t know what else they can do. They are trying to minimize civilian casualties as much as possible, but if you have hamas hiding behind people and those people complicit in hamas’s actions, there is not much Israel can do. They have to eliminate the threat. They have the right to protect themselves and if, after all the warnings they choose to stay in harm’s way, then bad things will happen.
If somebody says ‘leave because we’re going to blow your house up’ I am leaving. I may not like it. I may be mad about it, but I ain’t sticking around. Hamas uses human shields, that’s not Israel’s fault. They’ve done what the can about it, but in the end they have to solve the problem and I don’t blame them.
Imagine what the U.S. would do to a country who fired thousands of rockets at civilians? Imagine what we would demand we do. Any country would do the same.

It’s certainly better than just firing rockets. Giving the civilians a chance to get the hell out of the way is a bit nicer. Oh, but wait. The difference is the civilians are the targets.
If the hamas did not kidnap those kids and kill them, and if they did not fire rockets randomly into Israel, Israel would not be in Gaza right now, would they?
What’s your solution? Get rid of Israel? Let the street run red with the blood of the Jews? That is the mission statement of Hamas, the elected representatives of the Gazans. This was never a secret.
Should Israel just allow themselves to be attacked? It’s the only alternative to the action they are taking. Allowing themselves to be attacked without reprise is not a viable solution to the problem. All this can stop in a second if hamas renounces violence and recognizes Israel’s right to exist. That’s not hard. But I don’t hate people to death either.
Those who denounce Israel’s actions legitimize hamas’s. If hamas cannot handle a war with Israel, they best keep it in their pants.

for the 18th time, will someone tell me how the freaking blockade came about!!!??? Does anybody even know?

If you knew there was a serial killer living next door to you wouldn’t you want to make sure he was fenced in, or would you let him be free to attack your wife and kids?

A better analogy:
Your neighbour murders your son. You fence your neighbour in. Your neighbour then fires rockets over the fence killing your daughter and vows to wipe out your whole family. Pittbulll’s solution: the fence is the reason he’s angry. Take down the fence and everything will be fine.
Has anyone tested the soil over there?
My old poker game was about an equal mix of christian, muslim, jew, and unaffiliated, and we mostly liked each other even when one of us was a big loser. Nobody shot rockets at one another and narry a punch was thrown.
Maybe the soil is contaminated with something that makes people hate eat other in that part of the world. That’s all I can figure. If it were me, I’d move somewhere else. Life is too short to live like that forever, which it appears is how long it will take to resolve the conflict.

The real problem is actually the Nazification of the Arabs. The Nazis capitalised on tensions in the region in the 30’s. The leader of the Arabs in the British mandate, al-Husseini was actually complicit in the holocaust and broadcast Nazi propaganda into the region from exile in Berlin. After the war many Arab nations harboured Nazi war criminals - especially Nasser’s Egypt. Al-Husseini was Arafat’s mentor and by some accounts his uncle. Arafat and Gaddafi along with many others were trained by Nazi war criminals. The pan-Arab nationalists are actually the modern incarnation of the Nazis.

Ok. Cool, So, why the fence? Why the barricades? Why are they there in the first place?

According to me: to stop the neighbour killing your family.
According to pittbulll: to punish the innocent neighbour.
Gkhan:
I will certainly yield any corrections, additions and/or deletions to JB; but from my understanding, the Blockade is to: (in no particular order):
Force economically the cessation of daily missile attacks into Israel.
Blockade the movement of weapons into Gaza.
Stop the movement of suicide bombers to and from Gaza into Israel.
Stop the movement of assassins from Gaza into Israel.
All of the above have met with some, but limited, success because of the hundreds of miles of tunnels dug into Israel and to and from Egypt.
Mufasa
3 & 4 are correct.
Not sure if there were missile attacks before the blockade went up, but it was to stop suicide bombers from attacking Israeli civilians. If there were no such attacks, the barricade would not exist. Maybe J.B. can elaborate on and correlate this more.

what they are failing to mention on the blockade is there is more coming through those tunnels , it has been a couple years back I saw them bringing a motorcycle through one they are used primarily to bring stuff Israel disallows
some people because of geographical location (Gaza/West Bank/ Israel) never see their families because of restricted travel while only being separtated by a few miles and the blockade
I don’t give a rat’s ass about the tunnels. You’ve missed the whole point.
What you are failing to mention is that if it wasn’t because of suicide bombers against Jewish civilians (not in a time of war, but during a peace process between Fatah and Israel) the walls would not exist. If families are separated, it is because Hamas killed innocent Israeli men, women, disabled people and children while trying to derail a peace process. And these are the same people the Palestinians elect to rule them when they are given freedom to vote? They elected a government which does not want peace with Israel, but wants Israel destroyed.
That’s the bottom line.
No one cares what you give a rats ass about .
Unless you are fine with Israel going and killing several hundred people every few years (MOWING THE GRASS) then Israel must take a different approach because at present what they are doing will not and has not been very effective and has had to be very expensive .
All my friends at PWI with their star spangled erections have to realize things will change , your foe (HUMAS:) will change will get weapons that can reach Tel Aviv , the game will change at some point . I will bet on it
