Eric's Journal

Big weigh in tomorrow - Lets see if I overdid my refeed.

I am below baseline, so it seemed pushing even more food into my hungry maw on my refeed actually helped!

207 pounds. Less cardio + Less lifting = Me leaner. I have no choice but to deduce that I was grossly overtraining. I’m going to continue only doing cardio on my non-lifting days. As long as I’m continuing to lose fat, I see no need to do crazy amounts of ESW.

Team Skip FTW.

This is nuts. Despite constantly huge refeeds, the fat is still falling off at this point! Undertraining > Overtraining.

Lookin good man! Keep the pictures comin!

Another thing I meant to mention, I believe I’m getting to the point where every dieting guy eventually gets to… Smallophobia has reared it’s ugly head. I just have to keep reassuring myself that this is something I have to do and focus on not psyching myself out.

As of today, I am officially NASM CPT. Whoo!

Eric-

Just saw your starting pic (Jan 06) on your profile-nice transformation thus far! Best of luck getting shredded, although luck won’t have anything to do with it…just follow the plan.

Not going to bore you guys with my complete training logs anymore, I’ll just use this to jot down some thoughts.

esk- One thing I noticed about the logs you posted-- you do the fasted cardio, then your workout. Do you consume anything at all after the cardio or are your complete workouts fasted?

I eat. I don’t think there’s any definite advantage over doing fasted cardio, I just like to get it out of the way. Plus, since I am currently using Yohimbine HCL, it’s necessary to keep the insulin low so it works better. I can’t imagine lifting in a fasted state, as lifting a caloric deficit is enough to kill me as is!

Agreed. That’s why it struck me. I can do fasted AM cardio, but I’ll be damned if I can lift a pound without food in me…

Great training, btw.

I was on some meds last year that made me super nauseous in the mornings. I would only lift at that time because that’s what my schedule allowed.

So, I’d knock back half a serving of Surge Recovery or a glass of juice, then go lift about 15 min later. I can’t say if it was the best thing to do, but I’d get some nigiri sushi or maybe a huge bowl of pho for my PWO meal. I got used to it.

I take 20mg Yohimbine, 200mg caffeine, and 3mg of L-Tyrosine about 30-40 minutes before my cardio. Makes me feel like hell, but it works like gangbusters.

I think I had a “fat woosh” (www.bodyrecomposition.com/fat-loss/of-whooshes-and-squishy-fat.html) this week. You’ll see what I mean when I post my pictures tommorow.

204lbs. Less training volume + less cardio = -3 lbs in 9 days.

Back on the cardio train! 40min every morning, low intensity. I hover in the 125-130 range for my HR.

I think it’s going to take longer than I thought to get where I want to get. At any rate, this log is going nowhere!

haha that’s because you’re already in better shape than most people reading this thing

no one has anything to add

just keep doing what your doing bro

It’s so weird, I have vascularity in the area around my abs. Having never been lean in my life, I have to assume the last fat to go is the stuff I want to lose the most. Lower back, love handles, chest, and abs. I just have to patient I suppose.

In other news, I hooked up an Xbox360 to my treadmill TV, so my low intensity cardio just got a whole lot more fun.

Thanks for reading guys.
