Hi,
Was wondering if there is possible receptor dammage with continued (3mt+). I have gone between 32mg a day (pre-workout only ) and 24mg x 3 , depending on budget.
Stupid question but thanks for the help.

Why are you using ephedrine long-term? It screws with your ability to mentally focus on difficult tasks, and downgrades beta receptors like there’s no tomorrow. If you need it to stay lean or for workout motivation then you’re kidding yourself.
Everyone I know who has used it long-term has regretted it. If you suspect receptor down-regulation already (it takes alot more eph to get the same kick), then take some Benadryl - it should help get your brain working again.
On a side, do receptors return to normal overtime? I was only using 25mg pre-workout 3-4 days a week, but over several weeks. The last time I used it was as much of a kick as the first time - but since I was using it over that period could I benefit from supplementing with benadryl for a week or are my receptors probably ok?
On another side note: It seems it’s banned again (just found out) - so damn… Party is over.
I used Ephedrine about 5-6 yrs ago for approx 1.5-2yrs straight and let me tell you, it fucked my head all up. It took me a while to get straightened out, but I’m still not the same.

Apparently, but be your own judge - do you feel fine? If not, give the anti-histamine treatment (or any cationic amphiphilic drug I think) a whirl - it’s OTC and cheap anyway.
BTW, I’m not an MD or anything.
Will damage your thyroid after long term use.
Anybody have experience with psuedo-ephedrine? How does it compare in the “mental focus / strength boosting” category to plain ephedrine? Man it sucks they banned it again. ARGH!
Been using ephedrine HCL ever since it came out (almost 10-15 years ago?). There were a few years in there when I even abused it. Has always worked great as a cutter for me and always gave me kick ass work outs. I like it better than any other fat burner or pre workout stimulant out there. Never had problems with mental focus while using it either. Only problem I experience is weening myself off it if I stay on too long. Just my personal experience with it.

As I understand it, it causes temporary cognitive impairment while using it, but it’s only noticeable if you try to perform complex mental tasks. I.e. You can focus on your gym work, on your carpentry, etc. but don’t try and do high level mathematics while taking it.
I used mini-thins (gas station asthma medicine; no, I don’t have asthma)or Xenadrine RFA-1 everyday for about two years when i was 16-18 years old. (now 26).
The only problem I had was occasional tightness in my chest, but that went away after I stopped using it.
In retrospect, it was dumb to do that at that age.
