I was listening to this while I was lifting a few months ago, and I started laughing my ass off and completely failed an overhead press set.
Also, strong stuff with the 405 goal. I’m excited to see you smash it @planetcybertron

So I finally managed to go to the second doctors visit today. Got a basic X-ray earlier.
From what my doctor is telling me, everything seems to be recovering well. The disc fluid has mostly gone through resorption. Which is freaking awesome. Still rather bulged, but with more mobility work it’ll get even better. I honestly thought I had severely messed myself up, but I’d like to attribute my lifting to helping me.
So no surgery, and no steroid shots. Yay!!!
Sciatica has left as well.
You worked intelligently to fix things and it paid off. Im glad things are on the mend @planetcybertron thats great to hear!
I couldnt pick just one…
Lol just send me the whole page lol

My mom royally pissed me off tonight. It’s snowing and rather icy on the roads, but not as icy as any of the northern states, nor as snowy. However my mom was out and about grocery shopping for an hour, so she didn’t seem to give a damn. In her heavy ass, wide body car that has 22s, but it’s all of a sudden an issue if I want to go and head out to the gym? My car is twice as small, and I have brand spanking new tires, plus I’d be an idiot to even think of trying to drive the speed limit. Only difference my mom brought as an argument was, “I went in the daytime”. Fuck kind of excuse is that? So I just opted to do something indoors. Can’t tell you how many times I’ve explained to her to leave me the hell alone concerning my training. She can bother me about anything else. Just let me have this.
Needless to say she still got her way tonight. Swear she’s getting the cold shoulder for weeks because I call complete bullshit on her reasoning.
What’s stopping you going out?
My mom.
She said, and I quote, “You better not step foot outside of this house”. And I don’t feel like getting into a heated argument. Plus it’s her house, and she’s still my mom. Regardless of how irritating she can be.
Move out and maybe get an apartment/house with hubby, that way you have freedom?
Well a while back I posted in my log about how my grandma has passed recently. So my husband and I broke our lease and moved in with her because my mom needed financial and emotional support from us.
We can leave anytime we want, it’s not like I’m stuck here, but I stay because my mom genuinely needs my help. And most times she’s greatful and expresses it often.
I’m a pretty respectful child, but as mother and daughter we do go at it, but Eventually I will make it clear. She doesn’t fully understand why I have devoted much of my time to the gym. But she will eventually, or get her feelings slightly hurt over it. I’ll be patient for now.
.
Ahh yes i remember.
Its very difficult for people who dont have our passion for lifting to understand how important it is. Im sure shel come around. If all else fails show your mum eddie strongman on netflix. I showed my dad that and prior to that he didnt really understand my need to train and eat but after that he did.
Cyber I love your log.
You can go here and let some steam out. Sparing your mom and husband from the evil Cyber ![]()
There will always be some issues when children grows up, moves out of the house and comes back.
Hope mom eventually well understand your need for weights
But she’s your mom, so she proberly won’t.
Keep smiling young girl, just wave and smile
No chill lol ![]()

Yup. I’ve been pulling sumo ever since I hurt my back
Sumo > Conventional?
I wouldn’t say that. Sumo and conventional are unique in their own ways. I wouldn’t say sumo is better than conventional, and I wouldn’t say conventional is better than sumo.Takes skill to execute both.
