Am I correct in the following assumptions:
-
Meltdown (with less than maximal weights) is lacatate threshold training, purely anaerobic.
-
To increase G flux, and consequently metabolism, all different sorts of energy systems work can be done simultaneously.
-
In addition to the glycolytic anaerobic lactic acid training performed 3-4x a week, it would be safe to perform 3 max strength sessions a week (working the ATP-PCr pathway), and 3 lighter GPP/SS aerobic activity.
-
Such a combination would be beneficial in losing fat while maintaining strength/muscle mass. Overtraining would be avoided, assuming the volume would be built up to such a high level slowly and sensibly.
Thanks

Stop throwing around buzzwords and go lift.
Bodybuilding’s think tank?
If you think meltdown isn’t aerobic, you obviously haven’t tried it yet. If you can do any kind of energy systems work after a meltdown workout, you’re not doing it right!
