I sleep well, meaning no problem getting to bed at all. My issue is the morning ritual…I cant wake up. Like, I’m in a zombie state from 8-12 no matter if I take all my supps or not I’m still out of it.
While taking ZMA this never happened. It never happened before either. Ao pretty much I’m asking if getting back on ZMA would suit me better than anything else you can recommend?
Its without exaggeration. I can take HOT-ROX with boiling green tea and still go back to sleep
thats pretty extreme, I havent tried ZMA or HOT-ROX but as soon as my alarm goes off I pop a Spike tab and I’m good to go, the Spike drinks are too potent for first thing in the morning. You try either of those?

You should know better not to come out on daylight.
Kidding aside, how many pills of HOT-ROX are you taking in the first dose in the morning?
lol yea its probably the sun. I take 2 pills upon waking at 6ish then 2 more at 2 or three.
I can share with you that I have taken 4 pills in one dosage first thing in the morning when my body was really unresponsive - as it is in late dark and cold winter months.
Try to take three pills as first dose upon waking. Then if that doesn’t really touch you go for four. You should experience a little fire in your belly but maybe that is just me being sensitive to the yohimbine.
I have this lack of responsiveness as well in the morning but only late in the winter months. I noticed that I respond wonderfully to natural light and warmth - I rise naturally in the summer months and cannot tolerate even 1 pill of the HOT-ROX then.
Also if it is cold where you are maybe set your heating a little higher to start one hour before you are mean to wake up.
Best energy supplement ever to put the light on was:
1 pill of Spike Caffeine Free with 1 can Spike Shooter.
I was switched ON for two days on that.
I felt like I was connected to the plug.
i take the D as well, 2-4 pills of 1000IU a day, not that much compared to what I’ve read on here. Keeps me from wanting to slit my wrists or go on a killing spree during the winter.

Your a crazy man, shit, just the pill keeps me on the bright side, nice and peppy all class and even through my workout.

Same with me. I take a Spike tab every morning and can’t imagine life without it.

any pointers?

I can do this also, i could take them before bed and it would have no affect, I have a theory that if you currently take or have taken a lot of “social energy supps” then ones you buy over the counter aren’t going to provide a lot of assistance.

You could try supplementing with vitamin D, I feel much more alert now that I’ve started taking it.
x2
As a chronic fatigue sufferer most of my life, I noticed Vitamin D helped me tremendously. I take 5,000 I.U./ per day. Not uncommon for me to occasionally spike it up to 20,000 I.U. (over ONE weekend; 2 per day) once every month (read: esp. in winter)

Gawd!, How I wish this were the case for me!
I find that it’s disturbing my usual sleep cycle - which isn’t very good to begin with (read: has never been). I’m definitely feeling the recovery benefits, the increase in performance, and I imagine the increase in free T, as well.
How do you take it? Do you chase it with a protein shake 1-2 hours later, like what seems to be the consensus on here??
I completely overlooked the time of the year. Usually I switch to full spectrum lighting in my apt in the dark months. The psychologist in me failed at self diagnosis. lol I’m picking those bulbs up today.
As far as the social supps, I havent done much of that since last summer. At least the hard stuff anyway.
I don’t want to get into the Spike stuff because I dont have the funds to keep it up on daily terms.
I did take 3 caps of HOT-ROX this morning and didnt feel anything…nothing at all except a raspberry flavored burp lol
I have been neglecting the Vitamins though so I’m picking up a multiV today as well. Hopefully my light therapy and vitamins will help.
I’m a night owl and it’s nearly impossible for me to get out of bed early, let alone with adequate rest. I’m still trying to get my hands on modafinil (have a script but insurance won’t cover). Meanwhile I rely on caffeine. On school days I break up a 200mg tab into four pieces and take a piece every 30-40 minutes, starting 15 minutes or so before I need to get up. On the worst days I’ll split up a Redline the same way (250mg of caffeine plus some other junk). On other days I try to limit my caffeine–might have a cup of coffee and some green tea, depending on how productive I want to be.
I take the vitamin D also, 6,000iu a day. Seems to keep the depression at bay. And staying on top of my sleep cycle (forcing myself to wake up before noon, regardless of when I get to sleep) seems to be helping as well, maybe just because of the extra light exposure. I’ve long suspected that a lot of my energy at night and lack thereof the next morning has to do with my melatonin and/or cortisol cycles being off.
For the record, HRX never gave me much of a boost after the first day or two. Spike used to work wonders. Something about the current formulation isn’t quite the same; it doesn’t force me awake like I need it to. I haven’t tried it in a while though, and am considering giving it another shot.
