I happened to catch a few minutes of the MTV awards last night in between watchin the Pats embarrass the Skins, and what I ended up seeing was Eminem receiving an award, walking up to stage with his boys to receive the award from the disgustingly skinny Christina Aguilera. Once he gets up there, he basically threatened to punch Moby. What a wimp this dude is. He picks on everybody who stands up against him, including guys like Moby who he knows are pacifists and won’t do anything to him. I wish there were some real T-men in the music business who would stand up to Eminem and expose him for the closet pussy that he is. What do you guys think about this dude? Feel free to argue if you like him
Yeah, he’s a punk. But it’s the viewers that are helping him stay popular. He obviously has a large following and that keeps him in the news and on the stage. It would be nice to see someone put his punk ass in place. I don’t mind listening to some of his music, but I don’t care for him (as a person) and what he stands for. It would be funny to see Moby kick his ass.
That was uncool of him, but for the record Moby did attack Em in the press last year. So as juvenial as this sounds, Moby started it.
I’m not a huge Eminem fan so don’t interpret this as a loyalty defense… Moby a pacifist…? If you stay current on the music scene you know that Eminem and Moby have a long standing fued. If I’m not mistaken Moby started the whole thing several years at an awards show (VMA, Grammys can’t exactly remember). Moby aired a list of complaints that he had with eminem; many of the complaints held merit but he had to realize the *hitstorm he was about to unleash. Since then Eminem has publicly decried moby and Moby has done the same to Eminem, not as vocally but read nearly any interview with moby and the subject arises.
For both these guys it is merely a way to uphold their image. Eminem wants to be known as the tough guy and personally I have some reservations about his toughness. Moby wishes to be seen as the pacifist/vegan/christian/defender of all in need type guy. However, his actions only seem to reinforce the fact that hes a vegan…

I like Eminem’s music, not the person. For the record Moby did start it. And who cares if he’s a pacifist if he’s running his mouth? Not to mention someone told me Moby booed M&M as he was getting his award!?!?! Pretty classless if its true. Just because he doesnt eat anything anything that wasnt born doesnt make him civilized or smart.

Full story: “Triumph The Insult Comedy Dog” was doing a bit where he talked to Moby. Triumph brought up the whole Eminem vs. Moby thing, Moby didn’t say a word. Eminem (and his “posse”) interupted the bit, pushed the Triumph Puppeteer, and threw Triumph’s cue cards on the floor. A few minutes later, Eminem won an award, called Moby a “little girl” and made some comment about hitting a man in glasses. The vast majority of boos came after all that. Who’s the “classless” one?
Eminem is just another MTV phoney. Starts crap soley for publicity (his gimmick). Even worse, he doesn’t have the balls to stir up any real controversy or do any of his bs face to face/unassisted. Putting down boy bands, teen pop, Moby, and now a hand puppet, all from behind your “posse” or at a distance? Come on! That’s just pathetic. IMO, he’s about as real/hardcore as the Backstreet Boys (flip sides of the same coin). The angry white rapper bit is gettting real old, as is the current music scene in general. Obviously, it’s time for something new to come along in music/pop culture.

Yeah, I understand that Moby “started” it with Eminem, but all Moby has done was stand up for his beliefs, whether you agree with him or not. I think Moby’s music sucks some serious ass, but I respect that fact that he is really the only one to stand up against Eminem who is immensely popular, and has more of a following. While Moby has attacked content of music which I myself find insulting, Eminem has made actual threats toward Moby. That’s what gets me, Em is supposed to be so tough, but he can’t even face Christina Aguilera on stage without his boys, and he’s a lot bigger than Moby. Do you think Eminem would ever step up to anyone with an actual tough image like DMX? I doubt it

As for everyone saying M&M isnt tough… well no shit. Last I heard he was an entertainer, not a hitman or a mercenary. And while we’re at it Marillon Manson isnt really a satanist, and Pierce Brosnan isnt really 007. They’re all just entertainers, some use music as their medium, others screen. If you cant see that difference you’re probably the type that hasnt caught on that pro-wrestling is scripted.

And I don’t think you’ll ever see him starting that shit with any of the true badasses in music because he knows his shit is an act. Everyone knows it, he even admits in his music that it’s a joke and criticizes people for confusing music lyrics with real life. The funny thing is the more people get pissed off, the more Eminem succeeds. Oh well, he’s got a good hip hop sound(if there is such a thing) and he pisses adults off, so the youth of today are obviously gonna absolutely love him. Do you think Eminem is really like this? My view is it’s all a show to get him money. He’s a white rapper, an idol to teenage guys from affluent white suburban families who want to be ghetto. On another note, I would like to see Adam Sandler make a song “I’m Sandler”.
All it is with Eminem is that he just wants to push everyone’s buttons. It’s hilarious to see how everyone gets all uptight and offensive about it when what he’s saying really means nothing. He said he raped his mom. He said he killed his wife. Hell, he even said he killed his mentor Dr. Dre! Does his lyrics always reflect real life? No. Why not just think of him as that edgy friend of yours that just seems to have no limits as to what he says and just spews shit out without even thinking twice. Most of the time he doesn’t really mean what he says, it’s all in a few good laughs. Like what some people have already said, he’s just an entertainer.
