Wouldn’t it be ironic if she was holding back to take it easy on you?
I attach them to my ceiling fans and create a gourd gauntlet of death.
If you survive, butternut pie. If you die… . Bonemeal keeps plants healthy.

I saw the gourd article for the first time last year, @The_Myth, and laughed all over again. I don’t know how I’d missed it for so long. At any rate, I laughed and then threw it onto Facebook, because it’s such a solid exploration of the matter.
It certainly would be, except she falls back. I stop every 50’ or so to let her catch up. She won’t go ahead of me for more than a couple of steps, either, because possibly there be dragons and/or what if she goes so fast she loses me forever? And now, with her waning sight, she sometimes isn’t sure it is me once we’re a distance apart (that 50’) in which case she gets all alert and worried and her lip sticks to her tooth and it’s just…funny-sad. It happens to both of us now. She gets distracted sniffing around and then there we are, but it it really us? Hard to say.

Haha, I’m so full of crap.
I like this self reflection, very entertaining!

Weight 153.3
5 minute cardio wu, Girvan UB Day 7/20.
My freshly washed pants are annoyingly loose, so feeling ok about slow weight change. Wore a pair of corduroys yesterday that I’d just gotten back into during the challenge when corduroy season ended, and they were very comfortable.
Things are moving along nicely again.
I say this every single day. Isn’t the ageing process a wonderful thing?
Way better than what the scale says. Nice work!
This made me smile
Yep.
Thursday, October 3
Weight 154
5 minute walk, Agile 8, Big 3, various yoga. Total 40 minutes maybe. Felt good.
Friday, October 4
Day 8 Girvan ultimate beginner. Feeling pretty great! We have company coming today for the weekend; husband’s lunatics. It’ll be a big party. I’m shooting for “moderate.” We’ll see.
Feeling pretty good with where I am, though I still want to lose weight sort of vaguely. Not as much as I want to get strong, eat well, and have fun, though.
Thats a great place to be. Which ever you feel is the better choice is right there for you.
Saturday, October 5
15 minutes light cardio, 25 minutes yoga. I had DOMS from yesterday’s workout and probably inflammation from all the sketchy eating and drinking, and this combo of dynamic and slow stretch really did the trick. The goon squad is off having their golf tournament and will be back at 3:30 or so. Between then and now I need to clean up after them and take a nap. MAYBE take Buttons for a walk. She’s got inflammation from eating sketchy food, too. Billy, when I told him one cheeto was enough for her, said “But I thought cheese was okay for dogs!” Haha, WHAT? You think cheetos are CHEESE? Hahaha, NO. Buttons may have one cheeto and four potato chips, and that’s it! Plus the steak and bacon and eggs and brie and crackers and whatever else those criminals gave her.
So anyway, goal not achieved. Maybe tonight. We’ll see. (Still keeping it real, @ChickenLittle, lol.)
Monday, October 7
Weight 154.5
+.5
10 minute cardio warmup, Day 9/20 Girvan UB plus 10 minutes of ab workout, 15 minutes yoga cool down. About an hour altogether.
It’s a cold, rainy day and I didn’t really feel like doing it. But I did, so yay me.
@BD_Bodybuilder, calling you over to tell you that people love feedback in their logs, but you should read through a little bit to get an idea of the poster to whom you’re offering feedback or advice. Many people with training logs would be happy with a tip about weight loss, just probably not someone who is expert at this.
Tuesday, October 8
15 minutes on treadmill, 10 of them EMOM sprints, Agile 8. Ran out of time, but glad I got at least this in.
Wednesday, October 9
5 min cardio warmup, Girvan UB Day 10/20.
I managed to hit it after work again.
Thursday, October 10
20 minutes cardio. I was just going to do a warmup before doing agile 8 and big 3, but it felt good, so I spent my entire time allotment with it.
Friday, October 11
No weight, because I weighed at 5:30 this morning and was planning to go back to sleep and meant to log it after I woke up again. I never did, and don’t remember the weight except that it was not good - I’m starting to feel sick of treading water in this regard, but tomorrow is a Bruins game in the city, so staying over and eating out. AGAIN. Next week is a wedding in RI. It just goes on and on with the holidays starting to fly at me, so I’m just trying to keep my balance.
Workout was fantastic. 15 minute mile warmup, Day 11 Girvan UB. I continue to love these workouts. She’s like a girl GI Joe, so I can see every muscle she’s using as we go through the workouts. I’m learning so much about form and the anatomy of what we’re doing. And I love love love all the “chest open,” etc, reminders. They won’t be there for her other programs, so I’m feeling okay that I’m repeating the beginner.
And then some extra stretching/foam rolling.
Just so good.
