Hello All, I’ve been lurking for a while and decided it was time to sign up and start positng my log for some extra accountability. Despite the ambitious screen name, I’m pretty amateur at this, but my lifts are going up fast!
Here’s today:
EliteMDE’s Training Log - 6-19-2012
Goal Complete!
20 Reps - Pivot Bar Row
Start: 115 6-10-2012
Goal: 135 7-10-2012
Completed: 135 6-19-2012
Bench Press w/ 1 Pair Chains - Dynamic Effort - Doubles instead of triples
6 sets 2 reps 155 Lbs
I think my ego is getting in the way of the speed days, they aren't really even remotely fast anymore and I re-read the old westside program this weekend and saw its actually supposed to be 55% of your 1rm. I'm using more like 70-75% :( so I'm going to need to drop the weight and start doing it right, its probably part of why I'm so worn down.
Pivot Bar Row
1 sets 10 reps 90 Lbs
1 sets 20 reps 135 Lbs
5 sets 5 reps 135 Lbs
These are really a fantastic exercise, I'm feeling so many random small muscles in my back getting sore that I've never been able to feel with other versions of rows. I'm looking forward to seeing the effect on my other lifts.
Core Blaster
1 sets 20 reps 55 Lbs
1 sets 50 reps 75 Lbs
changed the way I count reps, so this is actually like what I would have counted as 100.
Hang for Time
0 Lbs 20 Seconds
0 Lbs 30 Seconds
0 Lbs 10 Seconds
Just hanging from the pull up bar. Stretches out my back and relieves some back pain, while also working the grip a bit.
