'Course, that was mostly prior to the election day, but a fraudulent vote has the precise same effect on the integrity of the political process as a suppressed vote – it cancels a vote.
Well, with this many ballots to tabulate I suppose they thought it would be quicker and more efficient (they obviously aren’t going to go to an all-hand count system or anything) – of course, most of the poll workers are retirees, so introducing new electronic machinery without a lot of supervision probably wasn’t going to go smoothly.
On the plus side though, no hanging chads with electronic voting.
Going back six years, I don’t think Republicans can win elections. Unless they cheat. If a Republican wins it was “stolen” and we get lawsuits and protests. That’s the Democrats folks. The shrill whine of Nancy Pelosi and the drunken belch of Ted Kennedy. Not to mention the nuanced idiocy of John Kerry. THAT’S leadership. I’m on the edge of my seat to see what the crew is going to come up with.
Don’t worry. After they fuck it ALL up, we’ll be back to pick up the mess. We always do.

Really… so I guess Senator George Allen won’t be summoning his lawyers and asking for a recount, in Virginia?
You are dead right! Technology is a very, very bad thing. Fear it. It’s the creation of Republicans so they can steal elections.
Fucking idiot.
I have no problem with technology. I’ve worked in web development for a dotcom. I don’t fear technology, I understand it. Which is why I know that electronic voting poses a high risk.

Ha ha… no doubt you would rather have the child-molesting Mark Foley and his cover-up buddy Dennis Hastert, and the return of corrupt dicks like ‘the Hammer’? Nice line-up.
I live in Ohio and we had our share of problems on Tuesday. The majority of them appeared to be due to faulty machines resulting in long lines and a judge keeping the polling places in Cleveland open until 9pm.
My questions are:
Were none of these machines checked out the day before? Is there a legal reason that they are not allowed to do this (potential tampering, etc).
Now that we have moved into electronic voting, they are going to have to make some kind of provision for equipment checks prior to the polls opening.

I wonder how many recounts the GOP will ask for.
