Elbow pain

I have been experiencing a problem for quite a long time now. OK, say that I’m benching, even if I stretch thoroughly (all the time) this problem occurs. when I am pushing the bar up it feels like my right elbow is under extreme pressure accompanied by mild pain. As a result, I am forced to lock out on the bench press to relieve the pressure, there is a sharp pop sound. The problem goes away as the workout progresses. What is this and how can I fix it?
