I started EDT training phase II yesterday. I worked biceps and chest, yet neither feel sore. The only part of my body sore is my shoulders! Why is this? Is it because I did so many reps of chest, that it was enough to work my shoulers significantly also? OR, am I just a moron who didn’t do something right? I just don’t get why the shoulders are sore, and not biceps and chest.(I could see if all three were sore!) I substituted some exercises in the program, let me lay it out for you.
First 15-Minute Segment:
A-1: Machine Bench Press
5 sets of 6, and 5 sets of 8.
Total Reps: 70
A-2: Straight Barbell Curl
5 sets of 6, and 5 sets of 8.
Total Reps: 70
Second 15-Minute Segment:
A-1: Incline Bench

Total Reps: 30
A-2: Reverse Curl

Total Reps: 30
Third 15-Minute Segment:

Please reply with your comments. I’d really appreciate the help. Thanks!!!
I don’t know, it seems like you should be getting sore with all those sets. It looks like you are going a little too light for EDT also. Charles says to take your 10rm and start off with 5 or 6 reps. By the time you get to your later sets you should only be doing 2-3 reps. Also Charles has told me and numerous other people that soreness has nothing to do with progress or getting bigger. If you can lift more every time you will get bigger and stronger. Did you do the first EDT? If so your body might be conditioned to do more without getting sore.
It can take 24 to 48 hours to feel sore sometimes, so you may get sore later. Not that soreness is a sign of an effective program, as Staley would point out himself.
Sorry, was only trying to bold the word soreness. New at that stuff.
Yes, I’m probably going too light. Damnit! Thanks for the input. And <.b./> is the closing mark for the bold, without the dots.(just incase you needed it.) Later!
