Edgy

That lunch look awesome!

and this frenchie prefers the beefy men. just sayin

fyi - Inky you know more about the food details than those chicks in the fitness forums  whatever the bikini color there should be rhinestones. rhinestones always gets the judges.

Legs last night-

did 4 sets of leg press, 20 reps - light, trying to get a pump and warm up my knees

Then
Back Squats
135x15x1
185x10x1
225x6x1
275x5x3
295x3x3

I was interested in doing the 3x8, like the BP, but my significant other was wanting to get outta there.

So I finished up supersetting
Stiff leg deads 135x10x4
calf machine 4 platesx15x4

then outta there~

Goal? Well, I’d like to squat 315-325 3x3. I don’t think this’ll be a stretch, but I do make it a rule to belt up when I squat over 300 - So, there is the mind melt about squatting 6 plates that I need to get over, ya’know?

Good work there, Edgy.

Oh, and N, I’ve just taken a lot of nutrition classes and know how to use the websites to find accurate macros for things  You’d think I’d have teh hawt abz or something, but I’m too lazy!!

Yay for the log! Your deads look like a modified sumo type thing…I want to get back to deadlifting, they were fun.

I just cannot get into oatmeal. It’s yogurt for bfast for me. And a FINiBAR when I can afford them.

I know Greenie~ Oatmeal is the Devil!

Mkay -

Last night, Shoulders.

Abs-

Seated Military press
warm ups, then 5 sets of 175 x 5
Seated DB O/H presses with a neutral grip 60’s x5x12-10

Superset
reverse flys 20’s x 4 x 10
Neck-ups - 40lbs x 4 x 15
DB Shrugs - 90’s x 4 x 20-15

Then - decided to kick in some Tris
decline close grips - 185x5x15
cable push-downs x 15

finished up with calf raise machine

Sometimes I can go through a whole training session without talking to anyone, then sometimes everyone wants to talk to me! Last night I was popular for some reason - by the time I left, I realized that I had spent over 2 hours there.

oh well~

Im just a big meanie…no one tries to talk to me.

Hows the food stuff goin?

you’re the sweetest one on the interwebz!

Well…
in trying to gain more calories, I’ve been eating junk. But I have been staying away from glutens. We’ll see if that bears fruit (pun intended). So far, 1 week later, I am at the same weight, but I do think that I’ve lost some BF. Hard to say at this point in the program.

Friday - yes, I train on Fridays…yes I have no life!

Back -

Warmups with Hammer strength machines - 4 sets of 20

B/O Oly bar rows
135x10x1
225x8x1
245x3x5 -

Cable rows
4x10

Bi’s -
EZ bar curls - 95x10-7x4
Hammer DB - 30’s x 10x4
Preacher Bench - Plate+Dime 4 sets of 10.

then home - and needed it! What a week. I probably should’ve taken it a little easier, but apparently that is not in my genetic makeup!

I don’t know if I can cut out gluten, I made some gluten-free coconut muffins the other day and it just didn’t taste right. It was good, but not like my whole wheat flour lol

You probably did lose some BF though, you’re probably eating less carbs than usual.

It is hard to get out of the gluten rut, but once you are out it feels great! I couldn’t imagine going back to gluten. Great log by the way mate.

All I saw was ā€œMwah mwah mwaaaahā€
:stuck_out_tongue:

Just teasing.

I hear enough about gluten free (and his colitis diet) from my grandfather. Then he preaches ā€œIt’s not a diet. I can eat anything, just not this with this, I have to make this bread from this, I have to do this, this, thisā€¦ā€

Uh-huh.

I eat a very boring diet. I’ve attempted the gluten free baking/buying and all that, but it was no healthier than with regular stuff. 'specially if you pound the stuff through the weekend and its gone by Monday!

if you’re happy being Mr. Popular at the gym than enjoy it! If not you can cut some people short and politely.

ā€œI really got to get going, I still have atleast another hour to kill and I don’t want to be here all night.ā€

has saved me from many dragged on conversations. You could also play bad guy and just grunt and growl and spit and scare the people away

Don’t know where I am, but it’s warm, cozy & I like it.

EDIT- Fashion police interuptis… Don’t wear white socks w/black shoes! You’re not of the geriatric crowd yet… Thank God my kid didn’t allow me to leave the house.

Your DL looked really good & really easy.

Bettie - the idea behind the gluten-free thing, is that the gluten in the wheat acts as a binder (glue) to the rest of your nutrients, and doesn’t allow the nutrients to reach or be utilized by your cells. In addition to that, the gluten works as a storage unit for fat cells. most people have some sort of allergy to the gluten that makes the wheat based products react negatively with the body~

at least that is what I understand. Sooooooo thought I’d give it a shot~

may or may not make me a little leaner, ya’know?

Monday - International Bench Press day~

abs~

BP -

Warmups, then 245x3x8

this is a 10 lb increase from last week, and I was able to perform all the sets in the rep range. this is the goal, to increase the weights by 10lbs everyweek. If I can get 8 clean sets of 3 reps in the 185 range, then that should bring my 1RM to 315 - a goal that I’ve had for a looong time. I stalled out at 305 a few years back, and although 305 was a good hit, I still gotta get 6 plates up before I die.

the DB rack was clogged with teenagers, so I finished up chest with reps on the hammer strenght machine. 20-15 x5 sets

Tri’s
Apex presses smith machine - 5 sets, 18-12 reps
decline skull crushers - 4 sets, 15 reps
cable pushdowns - 4 sets, 20-16 reps.

then home -

why hasn’t anyone asked what the hell apex presses are?

I learned this exercise on this site, its sitting up in the smith machine, grabbing the bar close-grip fashion, bring the bar down to the top of your head, or your forehead, with your elbows out to the side of your body, not front towards your chest. then press up. GREAT tricept move.

anyway…those are what I call Apex presses.

FWIW~

I’d been here ages ago but that damn ā€˜Don’t ask don’t tell policy’ was holding me back.

Glad I’m here though. I love glutes-free

I had a supposed gluten intolerance when I was my daughters age, that I would ā€˜supposedly,’ grow out of. I found this out about a year ago, researching why the hell I had a thyroid problem. It all seems to be connected…so I try my best to stay away from the glutenz as much as possible.

sometimes a girl just wants some freakin pizza though!!
