Okay, so it is still here -
quick recapā¦
2014 was a bad year:
-
they closed down my division, so i went back to my previous job - which is a good job, and a real blessing since I am no longer stressed to the gills~
-
Found a heart issue, A-fib, probably due to stress (and drinking) - spent the summer/fall working towards getting the dosing correct.
-
shoulder problems (biceps tendon) stopped any flat bench work -been rehabbing it and we are on the mend.
Then 2015 hit, and I was determined to lose BF, and get down to an even 200 lbs, which meant that I had to lose 25 lbs of BF, then I caught that cold/flu/head congestion thing, and that about ruined all of February.
But that makes me even more determined to lose fat, get strong, and build lean mass.
however - I just turned 51 - and although that sounds old, I sure donāt feel old. and am sure that with the right nutrition, training and mental strength - I can make that happen.
So - Saturday will be my first day back in the gym after a month due to that damnded cold/flu thing - and I am on track to lose 1 lb per week until I reach 200 lbs - around the middle of May.

214.5 this morning - the calipers put me at 18% BF = 38lbs of BF = should be fine to lose 15 lbs, and still be in the 12% bf range.
I think - me and math aint the best of freinds.
thinking of doing a variant of 5/3/1 - without the BP - since I have long arms, and relatively small chest, it becomes more of a tri move, and less of a chest move - working on that - AND, legs have decent size, so I think I will be doing the following:
Chest = DB BP, Flys
Back
Deads/Legs
Shldrs
I will work on the program with the escalation and keep it logged here.

Awright -
went in for some light chest/shldrs/tris on Fri nite - real light, like embarassing lightā¦
went in for some light DL/back/Biās on Sat am - again, real light.
DOMS? hell yes, legs and tris the most. shldrs, biās back in good shape, so Iāll hit them this week along with some cardio and keeping my cals in the 2000 or under zone -
hopefully, in a week or so, i can get some max lift weights so i can get going on 5/3/1 again -
sigh, itās tough coming back after an illness, but still gratifying, yaāknow?
I wish I had some personal news daily to update, like SpokieGurl, but my life is kinda boringā¦
did some shldr work last night, tried to concentrate on volume, but ended up hitting 135 x 5 x 3 - I know it aint much, but gimme a couple of weeks to hit them again -
did some back yesterday, not much, sticking to reps to make sure i dont hurt anything while Iām ramping up from being sick -
I think Iāll be hitting pendeleys for my back max on 5/3/1 -
i should start posting random daily stuff to keep ya all interested, no?

Got a flat yesterday, ran over the island while making a left out of a parking lot and ruined the tire. Changed it my self, but now I have to get anotherā¦
