Hi Maschy! You know getting Edgy into some Fivefingers so he can feel his heels making contact with the floor is the goal here. Not that anyone should take squat advice form me. I think I’m just going to go to town on the leg extension machine. That thing is giving me more definition than my sad squats.
Print - I know you like crab, so I was just thinking outside the box here. Plus I love seafood. And I’ll bet your doctor doesn’t know what you’re doing. He’d like to see your bloodwork, HIV status not withstanding. ![]()
Edgy - Did you just invite me to post all my diet and training stuff on your log? It’s a hell of a lot more boring than Print’s now that I’ve come down off the Christmas cookie high, I’ll tell you that much. Taking Ballet twice a week now - that’s four hours of ballet so this is serious.
I have a fantastic teacher and I’m loving it.
You in a tutu Puff would be a sight for sore eyes. Glad to hear you’re getting enjoyment from it. Good to get away now & again, huh?
Funny you mention the doc. I went for my first physical in 15yrs or so. I mean a real physical. The kind where they wiggle the finger, take your blood pressure, listen to you breath type physical. & yes! The dreaded blood work… This diet kinda screws w/your cholesterol. Came back a whopping 308. The doc wasn’t to happy & gave me 2 months to fix it. Just had the blood drawn again last Fri. & waiting on results. Hopefully all those shots of Olive oil will pay off.

Someone somewhere told me if you have a hard time staying on you heels while pulling to lift your toes. Seems to work for me as I tend to lean forward too.
Same thing for squats. Think of lifting your toes up, and it helps keep you back where you need to be rather than tipping forward.
Truth. I ended up using a short cut and bought squat shoes, made a ton of difference. My squat has 99 problems but depth ain’t one (now).
LOL. At my last meet, I redlighted my opener for depth. I vowed, NEVER AGAIN, to be a victim of a shallow squat. I can also say that while my squat has 99 problems, depth ain’t one. I can hit depth in some vibrams/chucks/barefoot, so no need for the shortcut, although I do wonder how I’d squat with squat shoes.

yep - when I was on that diet, my Cholesterol was 298. these days, it hovers around 170-180.
careful, a stroke is just a heartbeat away!

^What’s the cost where you are & what exactly does it have to offer that is so different than the groceries?
Normally in the $5-$6 a pound for ground beef price, to get a 16-18 ounce grass fed Sirloin, looking at around 25-30 bucks.

Puffy~
yes, please post your diet and training in Mine and Print’s log.
AND - pics of you in your tu-tu, or vids of your ballet Pierrette.
this is not optional.
Edit/ is the fam still hooked on crock-pot beef?
I don’t have any cool ballet moves yet, Edgy.
I could put up a video of me reading the newspaper while pedaling the recumbant bike, but I won’t because that might set Maschy off, and I prefer it when her ire is directed at Print. ![]()
I still do the occasional London Broil, but we’ve been grilling more of late.
Is it just me or did a log disappear? Swore I saw some cat post a pic of himself lookin buff & all. Said he was new here! Ha! He didn’t last very long.
Thanks again for following me in Edgy’s thread.
