According to Oberst, Hall is going back to strongman in November I think. Some kind of team thing promoted as Oberst vs Hall.
Money aside, Hall is an attention whore, it’s that simple.

There is a strongman team event, Britain against the US. Oberst is the US captain and Eddie is the UK one. No doubt both of the will do an event but I don’t think this is a Eddie comeback to strongman. I think the show will have some weight class athletes and possible women as well. Its more of a fun show / exhibition from what I understand,

I once learned you will lose the match if you lose your temper. This was considering tennis though. I also recently read that you lose about 80% of your ability to think straight (frontal lobe function) - when you get angry (reptile brain behaviour).
That being said, Thor probably have the advantage here.
It’s all due to Eddie wanting attention.
I would pay to watch them play tennis, though.

I just saw this video pop up… Calling it “come to blows” is a bit much considering all they did was spit at each other and like gently brush each other’s chests.
This is nothing more than hype. Eddie walks into the boxing gym - which just so happens to be fucking FILLED with cameramen?
Shit was planned; they both wanted to get more publicity - as outlined by the entire premise of this fight. Still, I’d like to watch the fight though.

I’ll forgive the lead-in drama/work stuff if it’s at least a real fight on the day of. I haven’t gotten the sense from Thor’s previous fights that he’s staging anything or going easy on anyone. If he doesn’t KO or TKO Eddie, it’s a staged fight.
EDIT: I meant “fixed” fight.

I think the term “staged fight” applies no matter what tbh… They are deliberately deciding to step into the ring to fight - so in the literal sense of the term, it is indeed staged.
As far as the beef between them goes, I believe that is staged. Took a note from ole Mayweather’s crayon-riddled notebook and are drumming up as much publicity as they can before the fight.
Does anyone lose if both parties walk into the fight getting a $30 million dollar check?

I’m 3 minutes in right now and have made the following observations:
- Every engagement will follow this routine:
-Eddie Hall says some inflammatory shit
-Halfthor responds accordingly
-Eddie responds with “Calm down”
-Halfthor calms down - Having this regular sized dude as the moderator is inappropriate. If they really got beef with each other, a well-trained rhinocerous would be more appropriate to moderate.
- Eddie is unlike every other insanely strong person I’ve ever met. Most are chill AF, but Eddie is a complete fuckboy
EDIT: I couldn’t help but notice the Reign plug Halfthor has going on. Also couldn’t help notice his can looked half-size to the one I have sitting right next to me…

Also, Eddie (of course) crosses the line by dragging a 3rd party’s name into his personal beef -the iconic Magnus Ver Magnusson himself, no less. Smh.

Seeing these 2 together in that video (yes confession I did watch it), a couple of things are clear. 1 Thor is a lot taller than Eddy which we kinda already knew, and 2 That Eddy is heavier than Thor, the size of Eddy’s head and neck is crazy.
No idea how those two things will play out in terms of ability to strike and move and what condition either of these mammoths is in.
You also have to hand it to Eddy for the end of the interview where he pulls out the ‘double dip’ sweets from the UK. That was a true funny moment and I wasnt sure that Thor even got it. LOL
